Swimming Pool at the Resort in Hana, Maui. There is a story behind it! / We were doing the road to Hana – beautiful and highly recommended! We were planning to camp in one of those camping sites, but a woman came and didn’t allowed us, since we didn’t have the permit, that we should have taken on the other side of the island, apparently. So we leave, and wondered where to camp, and sleep!? We tried to find the red beach, but being a secluded beach and all, at night, not that easy! / We found the coast, went down to the water in a perilous little path. Managed to make fire (my primal genes are nice and working :P). And then, well, we were in this beautiful resort, fields of nicely cut grass, with all those nice wooden cottages (http://www.hotelhanamaui.com/index.php), and we just stay in a little corner, under a tree, illegally for the night :) / Next morning, beautiful morning, pack the tent, walk around and enjoy the great view, and the hotel people driving in their golf carts, and this beautiful pool. Had to have a swim! Technical details: / This shot was taken with my Canon 450d, and my favorite lens, 70-300mm.

Inside the virtual world Second Life there is a beautiful little Japanese tea house sitting by the edge of the ocean. It spoke to me of stories of the sea, longing and hope that I sought to capture that with the Tea House series. I love beautiful tattoos so I dressed our heroine in them, bringing in new story elements from her skin.
