  • Squids Ink Jetty / Belmont, Lake Macquarie / Newcastle NSW Australia

  • This is a photo of the sea barrier at the wharf in St. Phillips, Newfoundland. The salt water from the ocean has rusted the bolts and caused this array of rainbow colors to stain the wood. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography /

  • Fishing trawlers tied to the wharf in the St. John’s harbour. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

  • Sunset at Warners Bay / Lake Macquarie NSW Australia

  • Gone for something a tad darker…still infrared and still with the reflection. / / /

  • This yellow dory was tied to the wharf for the winter. The boat launch had quite a steep angle to it… you can see the ocean far below, so the dory was secured with these blue ropes.I loved the contrast between the yellow boat and the blue ropes holding it securely. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / laminated print / /

  • The Icelandic Harvester. / / When I came across this old vessel moored to the pier my imagination started running wild with scenarios of what life aboard this wooden vessel would have been like. I could almost feel the sineous texture of the ropes as they hung there coated in the ice cold saltwater of the frigid North Atlantic Ocean. I could nearly hear the calls of the sailors as they shouted commands back and forth across her weather beaten decks as the waves crashed down upon her on any one of her numerous voyages. What sights must have been seen as sailors of old lined the rails to peer down at the mysteries of the sea. How many men were lost at sea and how many made it home with wild stories of his adventure aboard the Icelandic Harvester. / / Shot with a Canon 400D and processed in Lightroom 2. / / NautilusBlue / / nominated this image to be showcased in the group Pay It Forward and this is what she had to say… / / Ice Breaker / by Kevin Kroeker / I think it is an outstanding image with great composition ( great leading lines) with lots of drama and the colours are amazing . It shows us the harshness of the climate. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography /

  • Took this photo on the last day of a vacation in Tassie. Spotted this old jetty and waited until the conditions were right before venturing out pre-dawn to take this 4.5 min exposure with a 3 stop GND. Brent

  • After 13 days of non stop rain, it was great to see the sun come up this morning. This jetty is about 30 metres from my back fence, so it didn’t require too much effort – just rolled out of bed and stumbled down in my pyjamas : ) / / Blackalls Park / Lake Macquarie NSW Australia

  • A photo of St-Simeon’s pier, the most beautiful place I saw when I went for my little 3 days trip. While taking this shot ,a nice couple on a moto talked to me ,I ask for a little auberge to sleep for the night and they decided to invite me to their home. That’s Quebec,I would have done the same but it was a first for me…couldn’t believe it.I sent some photos by email and they were very happy. They are living at five minutes from there in a beautiful place called La Malbaie near the St-Lawrence river. The same day in the afternoon I took «Pointe-au-Père» and in the evening the sky became lavander blue,a real dream. / / /

  • I took this shot of the marina… it was cold, wet and foggy

  • A moment of youthful exuberance.

  • The Beachport Jetty in the Limestone Coast, the second longest in South Australia. The jetty is currently closed for repairs with most of the upper structure being replaced. The railway tracks and handrails have been removed and I believe the rails will be back up in time or the Christmas Holiday rush when the towns population goes from 450 up to about 5,000!!!! A rare chance to get a shot like this before the repairs are finished. Three shot stitch in Photoshop CS3. Canon 400D 18/55 with CIR Polarising filter.

  • A little switch from infrared. This is a 30sec exposure. ISO100, f/22 and a bit of tweaking and layering in CS2. Warners Bay, Newcastle, NSW, Oz.

  • Here is an alternitive to my original image Banished by the light . This is a 3 image Panoramic made from 3 image HDR so a total of 9 images have gone into making this shot. Taken a little earlier than the previous image I have loaded. This is one of my favourite places to take sunrise shots. / All images that make this panoramic were taken with a Nikon D300 Featured in HDR Photography / Featured in Going Coastal / Featured in Morning and Evenings / Featured in Jpeg Cast-offs

  • Taken with Canon 5Dmk 2 and Sigma 14mm Lens at 1/125 f22 ISO 100.

  • Financial city, going under!

  • This is another shot of the coal loader at Catherine Hill Bay NSW, Australia. This was just after the sun went down, I love taking photos here.
