summers day with the washing out
This is an Ink wash study of a Left Eye, part of preparation for an exhibition that I hope to hold in a years time. It is done with Black Ink only, and the dilution with water changes the property of the ink to give the different hues and colours. So from Black you can get gray, blue, brown and yellow, all depending on how you mix the ink and water and apply it to the paper. It does take some practise and skill, but I find that I am really enjoying this medium at the moment, which is ironic, since I am a Printmaker and Painter for the most part. Please do look at my other work and feel free to comment and send suggestions and advice!
