taken at Warrawong Sanctuary in the Adelaide Hills, this inquisitive bird came up to eyeball me as I took his pic.
Such friendly animals are wallabies, that this one came over for a closer look.
One of my regular ‘mates’ at Warrawong Sanctuary in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. I call him ‘Kevin’... The kangaroos and wallabies have become a bit of a long term project for me as I am still looking for the right image… I have a feeling I’ll probably never get it but its my cathardic ‘thing’ and always gives me a smile at their antics and at times boisterous behaviour… They are all very distinct personalities but this one has the most beautiful eyes which I am yet to get in the right natural light. Warrawong is a bit different to many parks in that you must stay on prescribed paths so the animals always have the better of any photographer!

Night view of a stand of gums at Warrawong Sanctuary, Adelaide Hills, South Australia
A day spent with my family at Warrawong Sanctuary, South Australia. This wallaby was kind enough to hold the pose until I got my camera organised. He had a friend but she wouldn’t come near us… When she turned around we saw a joey in her pouch. So lovely to see!!

This charming bird was at Warrawong Sanctuary. The soft light helped.
A beautiful forest in the wonderful Warrawong Sanctuary in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. The colour and lighting is almost untouched in post production as the trees are in a valley with afternoon soft light just making the bark glow almost metallic. A wonderful place to visit during the week when it is quiet. If you are lucky you may even see a platypus.
