Another older piece. Don’t ask me what it’s supposed to mean, because I don’t have anything resembling an answer. While uploading some of my older work recently I noticed that a lot of the stuff I made during my “marker-crazy” period makes very little sense. Do you think it has something to do with the marker fumes?

Long exposure of a train entering Union Station in Providence, RI. Captured with a Diana+ with a 35mm back and cross processed Kodak Elite Chrome 100 film. No photoshop manipulation, but the negative was woefully under-exposed, so the scanner had its work cut out to bring the darkened photo to life. “Warped Speed” is featured in the Experimental Photography and Editing and Rhode Island groups. Origianly a Pencil drawing on canson paper.The warped angel was a photoshop creation. Inspired by the movie “Angels and Devils”! Also inspired by my previous work “Bridge Over Troubled Water”!! / I thought that work needed a warped angel hovering above the troubled waters!! / The bottom line is it’s just such fun to play around with images!! / / featured in Core [C.O.R.E] / featured in “Exceptional Ekphrasis”

I had to work up the courage to post this. It took me three days to create: 5 fractals, 3 photo images, and 2 digital paintings all layered. If it were made of real paint, I’d be drenched and this room I’m in would look like the color wheel blew up. Last night I loved the piece too much; this morning I changed it and I love it “enough.” / I’m discovering that loving an image too much means that I can’t see it for what it is…..and isn’t. I can’t assess its completeness or its direction or its readiness to face the world. Now it’s done. I love it enough to accept it and stand behind it. It’s part of me today, not more than what I am. Anyway, I love thinking about wormholes and trying to see them in my mind. And sometimes I imagine how things would be if two of them gently collided, trying to occupy the same “place” at one time. I like to think they’d say “Oh, excuse me!” and then become good neighbors. /

This is for the happy challenge / . / Rate yourself on a scale from 1-10 (1 being seriously depressed, 10 being the happiest) and then create self-portrait expressing that state. / . / I started with this photograph / . / / . / Then printed it out, painted and used sharpie and photographed it again and played some more in gimp lol why ? IDK I look so creepy …...............A rate of 7 out of 10 in happiness :)
