Even though it was chilly outside, I felt warm with little Hotaru sleeping in my lap; my little firefly… Medium: red lead This work has been featured in Colour Me a Rainbow Works by Category / Featured/Popular / Origami/Ori-plastic / Drawings,Paintings and Graphics / Flowers, Trees and Plants / Water and Waterscapes / Scenery / Light, Shadow, and Reflections / Living Creatures / Human Portrait / Japanfluence / Canada / Still Life / More kitties: / More cuties: For more images please visit the category links at the top.

it does not get campier than this / hehe part of a ttv (through the viewfinder) series Theory: / TTV (Through The Viewfinder) photography is when you use an old medium format camera and a digital camera. / These old medium format twin reflex cameras have large viewfinders. Firstly you compose your image using the medium format camera (in my case i have used a mamiya c33) then you actually take the picture using a digital camera (here i use my pentax K10) of what is in the viewfinder of the old camera.
Illustrator / 2009 An homage to that famous poster from the 70s. Only, this little polar bear is the one in trouble now.

24” x 24” Oil on canvas. / Part of a series of ‘Eclipse Horse’ paintings that evolved from my Butterfly series. There is a recurring global warming theme with the sun being frightening and ominous as well as nurturing and illuminating. / On first looking at this painting it seems like a stylised children’s illustration, but I hope the twisted and fearful stance of the pony and the incorporation of eyes and symbols create a sense of unease.
