This building is located across the street from the Ybor City Train Station. I hope to add some info on the history of this structure, if I can ever find any. ((UPDATE)) Found some history. 1912. Masonry Vernacular. Two stories. The building is six-sided, a ground plan that conforms to the irregularly shaped lots on which it was constructed. The hotel was constructed to serve as a satellite lodging and commercial venue for the nearby Union Station, which was erected to facilitate Tampa’s increasing rail traffic during the early twentieth century. The hotel building is all that remains of a continuous series of twelve two-story brick storefronts that were constructed Private 7 Exposures / Nikon D200 / Tokina 12-24mm F4 AS Lens / Circular Polarizer / Processed in Photomatix / Sharpened in CS3 / Filtered for noise reduction in Noiseware.
