  • my sweetheart’s left eye, which is just as pretty as her right.

  • that’s a nun, in case you wondered

  • that isn’t a nun, in case you wondered.

  • 1st installment of pixels from an afternoon in the city with the infamous Melody

  • Those of you who care, may have noticed that I have barely been uploading anything recently, this is due to a total lack of inspiration from the world of digital photography. Luckily there is a man in the office, who goes by the name of James who is equally old school, cynical and at least as much of a luddite, if not more so. So he lent me his developing equipment, chemicals and all, and told me to ‘do it properly’. So I did. Stuck some B&W Kodak 400 Tri-X in my medium format Holga and some of the same in my 35mm Hanimex and went and shot and hand developed a few rolls. Started scanning them in this evening and thought I’d post the first one up. / Suddenly I’m excited by the medium again, and I’m having fun again. Here’s a shot I took of my lady against a mirror in her favourite spotted dress, she is quite a big fan of spots you see. James, good work fella, I owe you a Mountain Goat.

  • hannover airport, triple exposure, holga madness. / kodak tri-x that’s about it.

  • corner of mission and 2nd street, san francisco, holga madness. / kodak tri-x turns out this is just up the road from the new RB office, but I didn’t know that when I took it. (having only been to the US thrice i still find steam rising from the vents in the street most evocative, the locals probably find it annoying)

  • You’ll notice I’ve gone all digital these last few shots, well, this is because developing 120 here in London, is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive now, and unless Sarge pays me more, I can’t afford it, and will have to bring all my rolls of film back and have them done next time I’m in Melbourne. So, I did the unthinkable and messed with some PS filters for this. TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE FILM. Sorry.

  • Read the last description. I’m not in a cut and paste mood.

  • So this was using the double exposure function on my Nikon, for kicks. / Worked quite well I thought.

  • This chap was not called Brian, but I couldn’t understand what he was called. / He shared his lemony tee with me, which was nice, as it was a bit muggy. I then stole his image with my camera, because he has a lovely face. I said I could send it to him if he had internet, but he didn’t, I tried brian@hotmail.com, but have had no reply.

  • Blah blah you’ve seen it before.

  • Just down the road from Auschwitz, even starker.

  • Yes, um, well, it’s a concentration camp, one might say ‘the’ concentration camp. Be silent.

  • A collection of roofs and spires, Krakow, Poland.

  • sf
