This is exactly how it looked in 1989. The ivy stays here year round. It’s weird, because it’s barren outside; winter. But when you step inside (which isn’t hard..you simply step through the wall) it looks like a summer day. Very odd & surreal feeling. Taken last week, standing in the basement looking up at the back door. More from the abandoned farmhouse series soon. :) And Happy New Year everyone!! / It’s 8:37 p.m. here. I get the feeling I’m the last sober one around here.(not for long…ha.) / / >featured< / sold: 2 mounted prints (RB artists) / / More from this series: / / Welcome Home / Tattered And Torn / Wild Horses / Watch Your Step / I Remember You / / /
Spotted some horses in a field on the way to work yesterday, the sun was just coming through the mist, had to go turn round and go back to have a look and came away with a couple of nice shots. There was a thick frost on the ground, real crisp winter morning Thanks to Richard Shepherd for the title.
The flower and the wall. Took picture of both and mixed it up somehow. Photoshop, layers, textures, filters.

Model – the stunningly beautiful kcranmerart / / This work was inspired by the wonderful digital painting work of Jussi Lehtineimi After seeing one of this artists digital paintings, I just knew I had to try and crate a photomontage version of it, making some changes to it as well to make it my own. / / Background created with stock images from sxc.hu Thank you to some extremely talented photographers Main Forest by Mailsparky / Fox by Joel Terrell / Tree and bank by Sarah Moses / Dragonfly by hopallong / Mossy Forest Floor by Stephanie L / Fungi by Constantin Jurcut / Squirrel – awaiting photographer approval before providing link [permission for use granted]. / / All clover, flowers, lighting, shadows and grasses created with Photoshop tools. / / I absolutely love how this piece turned out. Stand & Deliver Mixed Media, lots of layers and textures. / Moll Cutpurse is the only highway women I’ve found any reference to although I’m sure there were more…probably too smart to get caught;) Moll Cutpurse’s real name was Mary Firth, a bit of a tomboy, always ready for a rumble and happiest in the company of men. / Sources on her history are a little conflicting but she was a bit of a roguette and after pulling a big job on a Lord, brided her way of goal and the business finding it safer to work as a fence…..a fascinating character from the early 1600’s. Von kindly posted this wonderfully fitting poem / The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees, / The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas, / The road was a ribbon of moonlight, over the purple moor, / And the highwayman came riding- / Riding-riding- Sales to date: 2 / Available as a framed print, matted print, poster and card. With 6277 views 71 favouritings and 3 sales, this is probably by far my most popular image: / I shot it on my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot S80 compact in the main street of Kempsey NSW on a particularly trying road trip for work. It was a lucky shot, I just thought the billboard was a fairly self-reflexive thing to find in a rundown country town, but when this dejected guy limped into the shot it made it into a poignant statement. Having moved on in the equipment and (hopefully) skills aspects of my photographic practice due mainly to the encouragement I received here in the early days, I often look back at this image and see things I could improve with it. One of the assignments for a course I am doing is to convert an RGB image to greyscale. I’ve applied noise reduction, and unsharp mask, then tonal and exposure adjustments in the green channel. After converting to greyscale, I’ve despeckled it a bit and clone stamped out any larger specks that stand out more in greyscale. I’ve also cropped it a bit tighter and increased the resolution by decreasing the image size rather than interpolating. Wow, that was boring. Anyway, please enjoy the new mono version of Living. “You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake…” / / / / / / / /
