I walk the city streets by day paying no attention to all that is around me.
Walking on the bottom of the North Sea near Hallig Hooge, a small island off Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Walk to the Horizon Walking out on to the viewing platform with the sun glinting on the misty horizon looks to me like you could walk to the very edge. Mt Wellington, South-West Viewing Platform. / Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Mount Wellington, rising 1271m, is a “must see” when visiting the city of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. / It is frequently covered in snow, sometimes even in summer and the lower slopes are thickly forested, but criss-crossed by many walking tracks and a few fire trails. There is also a sealed but narrow road to the summit, about 22 km from the city of Hobart. An enclosed lookout near the summit provides spectacular views of the city below and to the east, the Derwent estuary, and also glimpses of the World Heritage Area nearly 100 km to the west. / From Hobart, the most distinctive feature of Mt Wellington is the cliff of dolerite columns known as the Organ Pipes. Taken in a strong cross wind, and from well above head height, this was a trickier shot to achieve than you might think. Although the decking needed little attention, I did hold back the blues for a muted, softer & more dream-like result. It has just occurred to me that this image might make quite a nice wrap cover for a paperback book…
The Grand Veymont, 2430m, is the top summit of the Vercors massif, France. It is seen here from east while I was walking up to the Pas de la Ville, one of the way to the summit.
