I took this shot in Bateau Bay, which is part of Central Coast New South Wales Australia. Roughly 2 hours above Sydney. I love the glow of sunsets in wet sand and this, broken by the rocks, formed a scene I just had to capture!

Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn waterfall, in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, South Wales. A really enchanting place to visit…..though the walk to it is not for the faint hearted! Canon 400D + sigma 10-20 and filters. 2secs @ iso 100

What a glorious sky! (even if I do say so myself!) 3 bracketed exposures blended in Dynamic Photo HDR. I used the Canon 5D with 16-35mm at 16mm, f/8, three different exposures, ISO 50, and just one Lee filter at this stage, ND grey 0.9soft, tripod and cable release. A Welsh Heritage site Carew is one of the few castles to display the development from Norman fortification to Elizabethan country house. There is evidence of a much earlier settlement, dating back perhaps some 2,000 years. The Castle is in a delightful country setting, overlooking the 23 acre Mill Pond. Over the centuries, remarkable individuals, some with close royal connections, have made their mark on the castle. The beautiful Princess Nest, the powerful Sir Rhys ap Thomas and the ambitious Sir John Perrot are all part of the Carew story. The Great Tournament of 1507, attended by 600 nobles, was one of the last of its kind in Britian.

Best viewed large This is a picture of the harbour of Conway and Conway castle, also the home of the smallest house in the uk can be found on the front which is usually open in the holidays and summer months for a small fee. / Taken on Sat 7th Feb 2009 A must for taking this kind of photograph is a tripod, idealy set it to delayed timer or use a remote, this is to avoid camera movement to get a shot with out motion blur , motion blur is easily done just from pressing the shutter button. I wanted to get a photograph the waterfalls in Pontneddfechan, Wales. I did some research, planned my route in the GPS and packed my kit. The chap in the waterfall centre was very helpful and was keen to tell me the proper welsh name of the waterfalls. I smiled and nodded, I still don’t have a clue to this day what he was talking about. Unfortunately I lost the map I bought and stupidly brought along my bicycle for quick access. Bad move. I had to carry my bicycle for most of the 10 miles round trip and also had to transverse a waterfall as I got stuck on the wrong side of the river and watched a load of guys in wetsuits try to walk behind the waterfalls and fail. All good fun. / This is my first attempt at taking wateralls so please be gentle. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 50mm, f/20, 2.5 sec, ISO 50. ND filter used. While in Rhosili, Wales I took a few shots of the coast. There are quite a few shots from this series. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 24mm, f/16, 1/100 sec, ISO 100. ND4 + ND9 Filters, plus my camera and tripod, I left my bicycle up on the headland. A vast amount of dust and scratches removed in photoshop.
