  • Funny Busty Vest

  • It’s not every day you bump into a bloke wearing a waistcoat (or “vest” in some sartorial circles) emblazoned with chillis. I saw Chris at a farmers’ market today and when I asked if I could shoot a couple of frames, he sportingly gave me permission. I shot a couple of tight close-ups, then I hit the shutter on this frame, capturing his persona – and the great waistcoat. One of the big challenges in shooting images of people, rather than scenery, is that it is always advisable to ask their permission before training your lens on them – for a variety of reasons. This was shot in dull, overcast conditions, which always work better than bright sunshine. I normally shoot portraiture with my 18-125mm lens, but this morning I was using my 70-300mm lens. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 70-300mm lens. F6.7, 1/180 sec, ISO 200, focal length 120mm. 119-0699
