  • I found this Willie Wagtail near the Goolwa barrages in South Australia. This little fellow (about 20cm) didn’t stay still for more than a second or two at a time. Patience won out in the end and after about 20 minutes, and 5 failed shots, I got this one.

  • Taken at The Millpond, West Ashling….... I have seen this bird a few times at the pond but was unable to get a snap. Then today the baby ducklings decided to get back onto their nest and snuggle up to Mum. I looked around me and there was no bird droppings on the grass so I lay down on my belly as the nest was a few yards away from me in the pond on like a platform. I started to snap away as the ducklings got on and snuggled down with Mum….. suddenly there was a flash of colour and this grey wagtail landed on the platform in front of me. This is one of those shots…...

  • A little Wagtail bird having a quick bath in a rock pool, this was taken at Brunswick Heads, NSW Aust. A very friendly little bird that kept hopping around the rocks showing off!

  • What a difference a better processing program and some more experience in processing can have on a photograph! This photograph and Skippy & Willy were both photographed about the same time. Skippy & Willy was processd by S7RAW & Photoshop CS while this one was processed by Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3. Viva la difference! This iconic Aussie marsupial and his little feathered watchdog, (watchbird?), were photographed on a cliff top trail in the Diamond Head area of the Crowdy Bay National Park , near Laurieton , NSW, Australia, very early on a damp, grey summer morning. Skippy is a fine specimen of a female, (flyer), Macropus giganteus (Eastern Grey Kangaroo) and Willy is an equally fine specimen of Willy Wag Tail .
