Personal collection. Oil on canvas. This didn’t end up saying what was intended. I started with an old black and white depression era photo and intended to make a statement about how unprepared we all are for what faces us environmentally, economically, and politically. Unfortunately, it ended up just being an interesting picture. I was disappointed.

A winter storm hit today which makes for a photo opportunity! I found this snow covered wagon behind an old garage. Seems it has seen its better days.. Heavy snow brought out the camera today. I found this old broken down wagon covered with heavy snow.. I don’t know which will collapse under its own weight first the garage or the wagon…. Found this old rusty wagon near Coolamine Homestead in Kosciuszko National Park. We went up specifically to see Coolamine and Blue Waterholes and stumbled upon this relic while looking for a good angle to shoot the homestead!

Old wagon wheels at a sheep farm or estancia near Puerto Natales in southern Chile, shot with a Canon 5D Mark II and EF 24-105mm IS L lens at 105mm Started with the colour version and placed a Black & White adjustment layer on top. That looked pretty good but it seemed to be lacking something so I fiddled with the opacity and settled on 75%. Then on another layer I played with the Vivid Light blending mode.
