Presenting lil Tim’s vulnerable side.. =( While i may look happy or indifferent most of the time.. inside, Tim might be crying and frowning.. Scared to be alone. Scared to have no one giving a damn about me. Scared i won’t succeed. Scared everything will fail.. Sometimes i’ll tell him, we won’t know until we tried. We may fail, we may succeed. But if we never tried, we have definitely failed ourselves. he can be really persistent and stubborn though. I guess he’s not my inner demon for nothing eh.. The first one being a picture from my mother’s childhood photo album. Originally, she was standing with her older brother. I digitally removed him, reconstructed the space he was removed from and inserted a self-portrait, photographed in my studio. The blood stain i added on the left, represents the pain, stain and taint of childhood sexual abuse. The poem expresses how the cycle of abuse continues from one generation to the next when we don’t speak up, when we don’t acknowledge, when we remain silent. what had it done wrong, i have no idea.. / for all it wants is to see you smile.. / like a broken doll, you threw it away.. / you said, “i don’t need it anymore, anyway” my heart lays before me on the ground, / cold and hard yet still beating a soft soft sound.. / trashed and torn yet still beating, missing its host.. / its pain, the torment, its tears, who knows.. Yea.. i was truly feeling like crap on the early hours on the 9th June. BUT!! but… a friend, i never met, never touched, never hear decides to give me my sweetest birthday present ever.. She did a birthday card journal for me.. awwwwwwww…. Thank you Thank You THANK YOU to everyone there!!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmuah!!! Francois’ Langur ~ Trachypithecus francoisi (Pousargues, 1898) IUCN Red List vulnerable species The Francois’ Langur or Francois’ Leaf Monkey (Trachypithecus francoisi) is a species of lutung and the type species of its species group. The species is distributed from Southwestern China to northeastern Vietnam. Agile and cheeky, Francois’ Langur live in highland forests where they forage for a variety of food sources. Adult Francois’ langurs have a long, black, silky coat with a white band of cheek fur and can be distinguished from the other species in Primate Forest by the pointed crests of hair on their heads. Francois’ langur babies, in stark contrast, are Babies are born coloured a deep apricot. It is believed that the orange coloration protects the babies by helping them blend in with the foliage in the tree canopies of their natural habitat in Vietnam, southeast China and central Laos. Unfortunately, the remaining wild Francois’ langur populations are endangered due to habitat loss from deforestation, human encroachment and hunting.
