I need to be pampered / And not ignored.

A poem written a long time ago when I wasn’t too happy!

  • OF MICE AND MEN
    by JaneAParis

But instead my need to treat her as nothing, my vice / Has caused her to be rolled and sold / To men and mice…

This is about abuse, betrayal of trust, loss, and making and keeping another person powerless.

  • NOW I LIE ME DOWN TO SLEEP
    by JaneAParis

I am not cruel to them, in their minds and souls / so why do they prey on me / I do not understand / all I know for sure, is that it is not …

This is about political persecution and harrassment. One of their favorite tools is to abuse their target sexually. It is an easy hit, especially if their target is an attractive woman. They wrap you up in your own human history, and tell you that you are guilty for it, when being sexual should be a normal human function, they make it a crime. They dredge things up from the past, and play them over and over again, until they make you sick. They are master manipulators, and master controllers. And they never let you go to sleep…or at least anything that would be considered a good nights rest and dreams…only catnaps.

  • TODAY, THAT'S ALL
    by JaneAParis

I felt bad today / About things that I have no control over / But have control over me

This is about relationships, attraction and wrong and right. It is also about violated privacy, control of one’s life, and health problems. It speaks to the craziness of war, and the true underlying motivations for war. It speaks about the human need to protect and give to those you love, especially your children. It talks about being undermined, and kept powerless so that you can’t do this – give to your children. And how this makes you become frozen and stale, like a bird in jail.

I appeal to all Group Moderators to allow this into their journal entries even if it does not comply with their rules… I think the means justify the end in this case…Please read on and then decide for yourselves. I found the below bmail sent by Olga, from the Living Christianity Group today. She enclosed a photo with her message and it was so touching that I just had to find out more about this very special Mission. / I invite you to check it out for yourselves and if you can find it in your hearts to donate, however little it may be, it will probably make you very happy! / Here is the Link / Special thanks to Olga for bringing this to our attention. / My best to all. / ASTRID / (smokipoki) PS: I normally hate chain mail but I would so much love for this little writing to be passed around from person to person here at red bubble and beyond…...way beyond…so that we can all do our little bit to help these vulnerable people and in particular the little children; even if just to create an awareness in others. Here is Olga’s message: Dear Members, / most of you probably know well our missionary brother TREVOR IRWIN who works in an extremely poor area of Africa… I set up a new Forum called “PLEASE HELP PHILADELPHIA MISSION” (the last forum topic when you roll down) where you can find every information to be involved in this special ministry… Your prayer would be most appreciated so God can open doors and move His mighty hands to save these people and many children. To help with donation is now also possible through the web site if that’s what the Lord lays on your heart. / Thank you very much for considering / Olga

My poem SAD written in celebration beauty and grace of sadness was featured today in the All Out Emotions Group. Thank you so much to the moderators Rheenie and Jane Keats for chosing to feature my poem SAD in All Out Emotion – What wonderful news to receive on arriving home just now. Here it is…for my friends who have not read Sad yet :) Sad Sadness is shy. / She bites at our hearts / and tugs at our minds. / Sadness stops us / and makes us feel. Our blood bursts with sadness. / Makes us fall within our essence. / Sadness is the seed / in the fertile soil / that grows the flower happiness. Sadness the mirror. / Sadness the reflection / of our faces in the water. / Sadness makes us dance alone. / She makes us build emotional muscle. Sadness gives us gumption. / Sadness makes us have courage. / She feeds our minds with memories and dreams. / Sadness creates tension for change, / and urges us to look within. Sadness massages our hearts / and makes them grow stronger. / Sadness is our teacher, / the precursor of self-awareness, / the inspiration behind our art. Sadness is the friend of reflection, / Sadness the light in the dark, / The shadow to the sun. / Sadness now is part of our happiness then. / Sadness knows nature loves to hide. The more we love, / The more we miss, / The more we cry when it goes. / Sadness is the mistress of vulnerability, / The guardian of our sensitivity, / A companion to our bliss. Sadness links us to others, / Sadness enables us to feel compassion, / Sadness is an empty space, / Sadness is beautiful, / Sadness makes us human. by Anthea Slade With love, Anthea

  • You
    by Songwriter

You were so insignificant / Your father and mother / Would not do well in the / Company I keep. / But you were beautiful. / You had a fanfare…

I was thinking about how we make such a fuss with lights and food and presents and how Jesus never heard a Christmas carol or saw a Christmas tree. I wondered what He’d make of it. Then I thought of all the fuss made at his birth. Stars, angel songs, kings bearing presents. I decided He probably has seen it all and is quite used to it perhaps in His place at His Father’s right hand….
