Title: Love Is Like A… / Capture Date: 10/08/2007 / Dimensions: 2597×2592 / Exposure: 1/90 sec at f/5.6 / Focal Length: 200mm / ISO: 100 / Flash: No / Uploaded Date: 10/08/2007 / Comments: I dedicate this photograph to my mom and step-dad. On November 11, 1977 they were married and the song that was played at their wedding was Love Is Like A Butterfly by Dolly Parton. They will be celebrating 30 years of marriage next month. My step-dad lost his battle gall bladder cancer. So this is for them as a way to celebrate their lives together. © 2008 Charles Dobbs Photography. This is one of my favorite picture of Our Wedding Day and Promised to Share / Amber Elizabeth Fromm / Joseph A. Donais / Oct 4th 2008
Into his eyes she says ‘I Do’ / Her thoughts of future wedded bliss / He says to her eyes ‘I Do Too’ / Then seals their promise with a kiss / / This magic kiss that freezes time / And isolates both bride and groom / From cheers the crowd does loudly chime / And other ruckus in the room / / This moment starts their lives anew / The world around does not exist / As lifelong vows exchanged by two / A promise sealed with a kiss / / This digital painting was done by special request of our daughter from a photo taken at her wedding. She wanted me to isolate that ‘kiss of promise’ to her new husband from the surrounding crowd and scenery. The painting is meant to portray that feeling, where nothing else exists during that moment in time except for her and her new husband. / / To give a better appreciation for the artwork, I have included a thumbnail of the original photograph that inspired the artwork. No… there is nothing wrong with your eyes… the preacher does not have a face. I don’t have a model release from the preacher for this photo, so I had to photoshop his face off to be able to show you the original photo. :) / / / / Hope you like it, Stephie and Jake :) / /

dont tell me you guys thought that was My hand! ..umma Not! “shivers” :) This is a shot from a wedding I shot this Valentine’s weekend. / A wonderful couple to have shot, they were awesome in posing and playing around. / Even tho VERY VERY tough lighting situtations, I still managed to pull off some great shots. (so far that I have seen, still have a good 4GB to download) Believe it or not, no flash was used, I had ISO pumped up to 800!! That little XT handled it beautifully I think. Managed to keep the SS at 80 to 125, and the exposure compensation all the way up to +2.0. Thanks to the lens I used going all the way up to a F 2.8 (used a 28-75mm lens) I dont think I could have pulled this one off, and yes..my trusty tripod was with me :) / SS at 1/80 / F-stop at F2.8 / ISO 800 / Focal lenth at 75 / Exposure Bias at +2 step

The Cathedral of the Good Shepard, San Sebastian, Spain This neo gothic cathedral stands at the end of a decently busy street and is a darkly beautiful building. The architecture is so intricate and detailed all over the spires and roofline. It’s a photographical dream of a building. It was built in 1880 and completed in 1897. Preservation of churches and cathedrals in Spain is of high importance, so it looks like it was built nothing more than 50 years ago! Simple adjustment of lighting in this one, adding an omni to create a darker mood of needed deliverance and salvation.
