  • A majestic Mute Swan cob who came scaringly close. Taken from the bank of the River Soar just south of Leicester, England

  • It’s luka von spooka (he haunts on the second floor…) Part of my “furgotten” collection. Designed by indie artist Eric Murphy of sadmachine.com Copyright 2004-2007.

  • Collaboration with Von McKnelly “FIVE DOLLARS” / Thanks him

  • A sketch I did from a scene out of my favorite Bergman flick, ‘The Magician,’ starring Max Von Sydow and Ingrid Thulin.

  • Well sophia plays with a lot of dissonance. She has the desire to work the keyboard very, very, hard. Seem as though she could “practice” for hours on end. Lots of notes too. Lots of notes. Loud ones I have noticed, are the type that move her the most. Loud and strung together without any seams. Carnegie Hall one day in the future. Lots of loud notes. Real loud. / Well I guess it will have to wait, because we don’t actually have a piano in our home. I feel that its best to let Sophia practice at other people’s homes. You know, to prepare her for the grind of the concert touring circuit. cannonEOS D1 / Mark III / 28-105 / 400 iso / no flash / -1 ex

  • Original piece is 8”x10” Prismacolor pencils and ink. This piece was actually finished about a month prior to posting. It was unveiled at my solo show at Katalist Konsepts in Ft Collins, CO. I didn’t get a chance to scan it before the show, cause the computer was dead at that point. So, now that I got it back, here she is. Yes, the stars on her temple are inspired by Kat Von D, but she is not intended to represent Kat. I just thought the stars would be a nice touch to make her look sassy.

  • Meet Maximillion von Billions

  • This is a Hooter Mouse – dig those hooters! He belongs to the same universe as the Argy Bargy. I have yet to colour this one – i kinda like it B&W anyway.

  • Inspired partly by the work of Cynthia von Buhler. And for the girl who just gets by in life, maybe with just her cat or dog by her side. For the girl who observes, who finds deeper or hidden meaning, sees symbols in life, inspired by dreams..

  • The tribute to a gorgeous Basset Hound (Fred) who was my wonderful companion for 9 years. / pix © www.shhevaun.com / 0419363057 All Rights Reserved 2006 Untouched work shot on Nikon D60 (a cheap film SLR) with two studio lights I have a studio in New Farm Brisbane and love shhooting Dogs and their owners! Initially this image was to pay homage to the shot of the bassett with his ears blowing in front of a fan… This shot captured more of Fred’s personality – he liked the breeze but it wasnt letting it move him or those huge heavy ears (btw he weighed 30kgs!)

  • LIMITED EDITION FRAMED PRINTS / On sale 6th October 2008 – 10 prints only I created this artwork for the Extra Cheeese group show in Sydney this weekend. The theme was re-use…I found an old wooden wine box at Salvos and made it into a lightbox. This was printed onto acrylic, which slides between two J-frames (allowing access to change the lightbulb). The show wraps up on Sunday 5th Oct – so go check it out if you are in the area. This was snapped up before the show opened – so you can only get a copy here! Flyer / Extra Cheeese Photos from the opening will be posted on 2threads soon and I’ll post a link of the artwork lit up in the gallery. To create this I reference photos – reducing the contrast down and then outlining by hand. Everything then gets coloured in Photoshop. You might notice some of my old artwork in there as tattoos. And yes, that is Kat von D – I love her style!

  • The infamous Pink Pig Porsche that was designed for Can-Am and tested for aerodynamics at the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans. It didn’t finish due to a crash, but it has left its mark on racing history for its incredibly unique paint scheme showing various pork cuts in German. It was affectionately called “Der Trüffel-Jäger von Zuffenhausen” or “The Truffle-Hunter from Zuffenhausen.”

  • ‘We, Henry the King by the divine blessing, declare to the knowledge of all, that we have donated to our servant Otnant a part of forest along the way to Cheb.’ / —Henry IV, February 13th, 1061 This first written reference to the town Cheb from the year 1061 is, at the same time, also the oldest documentation of the advancing medieval colonisation of the territory around Cheb in the extreme western Czech Republic near the German border. The historical region of Cheb has been part of the Holy Roman Empire. Cheb is one of the oldest towns in Bohemia, with a history full of violence for it guards the easiest approach to Bohemia from the northwest. However, the picturesque old town retains much of its historic gothic and renaissance architecture dated from 9th century till today. And despite its relatively small size, 35,000, and a rather remote geographical location, the city of Cheb is today one of the Czech Republic’s most multicultural cities. Framed Print / /

  • The story of Viktor von Valkyrie – such a tragic tale! Born in the farthest reaches of the Slav Republic, no one in Viktor’s village could read or write. Yet somehow Viktor managed to take Ph.D.’s in astrophysics, anatomical biology and theoretical mathematics at Oxford – all before he reached age 27. He achieved a full professorship by the time he was 30 – the same year his hearing began to seriously decline. Convinced of an undergraduate conspiracy to drive him mad with their persistent mumbling, he devised a revolutionary ear trumpet and managed to have it surgically implanted. Although it made sleeping unspeakably awkward, it also enabled the good professor to hear small children eating cornflakes several miles away. In retrospect, this was most likely the first hint that something was seriously amiss, but von Valkyrie’s brilliant inventions, like the autonautical dirigible – the first vehicle to successfully negotiate land, air and water travel – distracted colleagues and friends from that knowledge. However, as Viktor continued to have himself altered in alarming ways, even his most ardent supporters had to admit that he was most certainly deranged. On the eve of the unveiling of his stunningly elegant airship, the Vampyricon, Viktor appeared with set of fully functional mechanized bat wings sprouting from his shoulder blades. With such a disturbing appearance, no one could glean much from his increasingly convoluted lectures. When a species Titanus giganticus land beetle emerged from his cerebral cortex, the college elders knew something had to be done. A plot was hatched to lure the professor to an exclusive asylum hidden away in the Swiss Alps, but of course Viktor overheard every detail of the plan. Packing up his fantastic inventions, he vanished as suddenly as he had appeared, although sightings of the flying scholar have been reported from Prague to the very tip of the Siberian Peninsula. If you see the shadow of his wings overhead, whisper a hello. He will hear you.

  • In 1284, while the town of Hamelin was suffering from a rat infestation, a man dressed in pie1 appeared, claiming to be a rat-catcher. He promised the townsmen a solution for their problem with the rats. The townsmen in turn promised to pay him for the removal of the rats. The man accepted, and thus played a musical pipe to lure the rats with a song into the Weser River, where all of them drowned. Despite his success, the people reneged on their promise and refused to pay the rat-catcher. The man left the town angrily, but returned some time later, seeking revenge. On Saint John and Paul’s day while the inhabitants were in church, he played his pipe yet again, this time attracting the children of Hamelin. One hundred and thirty boys and girls followed him out of the town, where they were lured into a cave and never seen again. Depending on the version, at most two children remained behind (one of whom was lame and could not follow quickly enough, the other one was deaf and followed the other children out of curiosity) who informed the villagers of what had happened when they came out of the church. Other versions (but not the traditional ones) claim that the Piper lured the children into the river and let them drown like the rats or led the children to a cave on Köppen Hill or Koppelberg Hill. Another version is that the Pied Piper hypnotized the children into following him the the top of Koppelberg Hill were he took them to a mystery land2 (outside of Hamelin) or a place called Koppenberg Mountain3 and returned them after payment or that he returned the children after the villagers paid several times the original amount of gold. for more info Wikipedia

  • Alstroemeria or Peruvian Lily / Alstroemeria (syn. Alstremeria), commonly called the Peruvian Lily or Lily of the Incas, is a South American genus of about 50 species of flowering plants. Almost all of the species are restricted to one of two distinct centres of diversity, one in central Chile, the other in eastern Brazil. Species of Alstroemeria from Chile are winter-growing plants while those of Brazil are summer-growing. All are long-lived perennials except A. (Taltalia) graminea, a diminutive annual from the Atacama Desert of Chile. The genus was named for the Swedish baron Clas Alströmer (Claus von Alstroemer) by his close friend Carolus Linnaeus. The plant was first described by the French botanist Louis Feuillée. The plant’s seeds were among many collected by Alströmer on a trip to South America in 1753. / Wikipedia / Panasonic FZ20
