Picturesque house rusty old volvo amazon / I was struck by the amount of color in this otherwise grey suburban-street. /

My Volvo is one of my favorite subjects to photograph. I come across many gorgeous landscapes, but wish to add a central subject to look at and the car is available, so the car becomes that subject. 1988 Volvo 245 DL / M47 5-speed manual / Bilstein HD shocks and struts / KN Filter
Sunset Bay State Park, Oregon Coast. With a beautiful sandy beach in a calm bay, the state park and campground near Coos Bay, Oregon is a great place to stop on the Oregon Coast, especially at Sunset. The park is connected by hiking trails to nearby parks, allowing you to explore the beautiful forests of the Oregon Coast, views of the Pacific Ocean, and even a Lighthouse. Also nearby is the fishing village, Charleston, between Sunset Bay and Coos Bay.

Now, first off, I know that it’s called VOLVO, but jokingly, I call it a Vulva. I have nothing against Volvos…... Now, with that said…. This is a 3 bracket HDR. Racing down the last leg on the elevated section to Dover ferry terminal a Volvo F89 of Lumsden’s is loaded with a tank for the B.A.O.R in Germany followed by another of his lorries, a Ford Transcontinental with a similar load. These tanks were regulary returned to England for updating and modification during the Cold War years and Lumsdens, who specialised in large loads and European haulage, had the lucrative contract to move them. The energetic and no nonesense David Lumsden, a good friend and client of mine, is still in the haulage business and is one of those people who will never retire-—---he’s far too busy! The original of this painting was in oils on a 20”x30” board. A painting like this of your favourite vehicle, British or American, in oils on canvas or board would cost about £1000. The project was started in 1957 because Volvo wanted a sports car, despite the fact that their previous attempt, the P1900, had been a disaster, with only 68 cars sold. The man behind the project was an engineering consultant to Volvo, Helmer Pettersson, who in the 1940s was responsible for the Volvo PV444. The design work was done by Helmer’s son Pelle Pettersson, who worked at Pietro Frua at that time. Volvo insisted it was an Italian design by Frua and only admitted that Pelle Pettersson designed it in 2009
