Saw this bug parked at Tim Hortons one day. It was so cool. The gut who made it was delivering it to the person who bought it. He had to drive it through a few provinces. I asked what he did when it rained and he replied, ” wear a rain coat”. Great on a hot summer day, not so good in the winter…LOL. Shot with a Pentax Optio 30 I believe.

Volkswagon car circa 1968 Beetle v.W.
In 1968, my husband, Lynn Rosevear, started a small business in Buena Park for Volkswagon accessories. It eventually grew to 17 retail stores throughout California, with stories written in VW trends magazine and an off-road racing team as well. / This is a photograph of the AutoHaus logo designed by Dave Deal (remember ‘Deals Wheels’ – had a few of those hotwheels – hehehe), the business unfortunately went south (long story), but the memories are still spoken of with the entire family… VW

I saw this beat up old car on my trip to Lake Mungo. Quite an arid area. Especially now, as parts of south eastern Australia are now in drought. At the time in January, there had been so little rain that the normal grass cover had died and revealed the red earth underneath. It’s a very bumpy journey, and almost undrivable in the wet due to the clay soils. Nikon F90x / Fuji Velvia 100 Imacon Flextight 949 scan / (AVAILABLE IN LARGE SIZE CANVAS, PRINTS, ETC )
