This is obviously not an original idea, and I want to thank both ECGardner and Angelique Brunas for their works along these lines that motivated me to explore my own creativity. I hope they do not mind my using their work as a basis for my inspiration, and I am still working to achieve the balance, beauty, and artistry they have exhibited through their respective nature based collages! I will give folks a while to guess what the various panes are comprised of, they should be pretty easy to figure out, later I will insert the proper descriptions of their contents. As always I can not say often enough how wonderful the Redbubble community is and how happy I am to have found it during it’s infancy so that I may grow along with it into a more complete and accomplished artist! / / / / Portfolio Areas / / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic

views: 3424 / favs: 51 Completed 2004 age 18 I was inspired by the Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju, who tends to limit his colors in his paintings. Sometimes he paints an image where the background is the complimentary colors of the subject. His style is simple but at the same time intense, where the foreground stands out from the complimentary background. Medium: Watercolors This is a painting done in my sketchbook. The paper isn’t watercolor paper, but at least more durable than regular printing paper. I was listening to Moby and before I knew it this simple cactus shot turned into this… I think Moby was affecting my brain, haha. So enjoy my insanity!
Don’t eat them… haha…. This is growing in my front yard, but I have no idea what kind of tree it is. It has pretty blossoms in the spring though. Enjoy!
MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD / Best viewed large. / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group COUNTRY ROADS/AROUND THE WORLD / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group NATURAL COLOR AND LIGHT / / / This is a recent photo of my favorite country road! It is located in Flatwoods, Kentucky, in Greenup County, which lies in the northeastern part of the bluegrass state. Many of my relatives live in or just outside of Flatwoods, and my Dad built this one. / / The scenery from this road is almost surreal, it is so beautiful. Surrounding this road are country farms, barns and old churches. This road winds around a gorgeous mountain cloaked with a variety of lush trees and evergreens, whose leaves are radiant in the Fall of the year with brilliant shades of yellow, orange, red, brown and green. / / At the top of the mountain is the end of this magnificent road, which leads to a private, gated mansion that overlooks the entire county. It is very quiet and peaceful there, and everything, including time, seems to stand still on this beautiful road. It is a breath-taking view from the very top, and this is truly my favorite country road!.. / / / To read and learn more about this special country road, / go to:COUNTRY ROAD
Featured by Depth of Field – 2 images per day – May 2009 From the visit to the Botanic Gardens in Adelaide. Tiny yellow flowers which appear to be floatng in space like disembodied helicopters. At least 1:1 / I have no idea what they are called but I was drawn to their simplicity and their bright colour and the challege of using my D90 with AF-S Micro Nikkor60mm lens. 1/50sec F/3.2 / /
Another experiment with a spring and using a CD as a reflective background. More experimenting to come with these! :D Enjoy!
This feast for the senses was found, at the lake, at Alfred Nicholas Gardens, in the Dandenongs, in Victoria, in autumn this year. This HDR shot is 3 shots merged together with Photomatix Pro using tone mapping and details enhancer. I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and tripod, too.
Alive in the moment with her head held high and confidence in her stride. The contrasting colors in this image do make me smile. Photo taken on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach Florida.
