As the tide recedes, small pools and areas of shallow water are left behind, on the sandy beach. The water had come in washing out small potholes and dropping it’s load of debris. Dark shells and brown seaweeds are left scattered as the brine moves out once again in it’s never ending dance with the moon. “It’s amazing how much time one can spend in a garden doing nothing at all. I sometimes think, in fact, that the nicest part of gardening is walking around in a daze, idly deadheading the odd dahlia, wondering where on earth to squeeze in yet another impulse buy, debating whether to move the recalcitrant artemisia one more time, or daydreaming about where to put the pergola.” / ~ Jane Garmey, A Writer in the Garden Used 4 layers, and two photos to create this with GIMP2. Removed background from photo of woman with a transparent alpha layer and the erase tool at 100% opacity, then copied and pasted it into the flower photo. Used the erase tool again to let the flowers show through around her. Used another copy of the flower photo to isolate various flowers to frame the left side of her and one for her hair. Anchored the layers. Then made a copy of the whole image and lightened it, flipped it and rotated it , then copied and pasted it in place for the reflection, used the erase tool at 50% to touch up areas in the reflection then anchored the last layer to finish.
