Flags fly at half mast to honour those that died at the Virgina Tech Massacre. The building is the Boston Library which is a gorgeous building in itself, but this image saddens me given the great loss a whole nation was feeling at the time it was taken. Out of respect for those that passed I won’t be charging any mark up on this image.

The Falls of Brush Creek drop 25 feet over a sandstone ledge near the mouth of the stream’s deep gorge of Brush Creek at Bluestone River. These “block” falls have been a popular local beauty spot since European settlement, though natives most likely frequented the falls for the same reason. The West Virginia Nature Conservancy in cooperation with Pipestem Resort State Park, maintains a natural area at the falls. A rough trail leads from a picnic shelter to a ledge from which the cascade may be observed. / NIKON D60 / FEATURED IN LAKES AND INLAND WATERWAYS DECEMBER 2009

Trapped within, is the light that shines, the light that gives life to all your inner feeling and thoughts, trapped in the light which never comes to surface, is your true inabitions, your true realities that no one ever sees, yet a glimmer shows that somewhere in there are the possiblilites, but the question is, is it worth it, to show yourself, to give your vunerablities to all, and to have them taken apart and used as you would an old piece of cloth that has seen many a cleaning day, or maybe it is best to just keep that little bit of light that still shines deep within, to ourselves and to only the ones who can understand, to learn to only trust those who are worthy of trusting, because out there in this lonely vast land that we call ourselves and them, are a few that dont want from you, they just want you to shine and show how bright your light can be, that light so trapped within, that you have secured so tight, within every inch of your being, realities are a harsh thing to learn, and the pain from them, come at a cost ,that sometimes just isnt worth the time and effort that takes to put into it….... / Virginia N Fred Created with Apophysis 2.09

Took this some time ago, while testing a new Sigma f/2.8 lens. I am adding this into a Norfolk Landscape Art Exhibit, it looks FANTASTC on metallic print paper (11×14, matted and framed). / I now use White House Custom Color (WHCC) for my printing needs, they really do a great job. Just wanted to get some feedback here, if folks like this shot as much as I do.
