  • A cool snake picture I took that really highlights the colors. GENERAL INFORMATION: Common names: Kanburi pitviper, Kanburian pit viper, tiger pit viper. Trimeresurus kanburiensis is a venomous pitviper species found in only a few areas in Thailand. An arboreal, but heavily built species with a brown or tawny coloration. No subspecies are currently recognized. Adults grow to more than 30 inches (76 cm) in length and are heavily built. The maximum length is unknown. Scalation includes 19 rows of dorsal scales at midbody, 159 ventral scales, 42 subcaudal scales and 10 supralabial scales, the third being the largest. The color pattern varies from brown with faint patterning to tawny with dull brown blotches and spots along with a ventrolateral stripe. This species, especially the population in the south and formerly referred to as T. venustus, has often been confused with the mangrove pitviper, T. purpureomaculatus. However, the two are easily distinguished by the first three supralabial scales, which are much enlarged in T. kanburiensis.

  • Viper ACR / YOU’RE looking at Dodge’s answer to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS or Lotus Exige, a road car you can drive to the track, hot lap all day, and drive back home, tires, brakes, and ego intact. The Viper ACR is raw. It’s wired. And it’s probably the best weekend racer yet from Detroit. (source: Motor Trend ) captured at Irvine Meet, Aug 8, 2009
