This french village square in The Esteron Valley is very beautiful / with it’s old drinking fountain and it’s public wash-house. / I like the mediterranean style and warm color of these houses.

In a coutry ravaged by war and starved by drought, it amazed me to visit a huge freshwater lake in the middle of this desolate country. This had become home and a way of life to so many people, the sights just amazed me.

Bourton on the Water, Cotswolds, England. Bourton is called the Venice of the Cotswolds, the river Windrush flows through it on its way to join the river Thames. I love this village and would happily spends days and weeks photographing it. Nikon D50

Although we arrived into rainy season, the Zululand was dry and parched. These “water-tanks” supplied fresh water for the villagers who must have travelled some distance.
