A black and white with vignetting version of my image of Port Fairy Lighthouse. This is one of my all time favourite photographs so I thought I would share it. It was taken on a point and shoot about 3 years ago so is not available for larger prints. The flowers in the foreground of this photo have a story of their own. The bulbs of the irises were planted by the first lighthouse keepers in the garden of the long since ruined keepers house. All that remains of the house is a portion of the garden. The iris bulbs come up every spring as a reminder of what once was. Colour version is also available. This is how it looks in card form: I have this image on my wall using a black matte and charcoal frame which looks absolutely amazing and sets off the black and white image well.

BEST VIEWED AS A MEDIUM SIZED FRAMED PRINT ON YOUR SITTING ROOM WALL! Drifting all alone on a vast ocean with just myself for company! This is a shot of a cargo vessel heading out from the mouth of the River Shannon across Ballybunion Bay in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. The shot was taken with a telephoto lens from Knockanore Mountain (really a large hill) some two miles from shore as the préachán flies. / /

Even dragons are not out of place in the imagination of children. The tail end of the dragon on the roof of the Providence Children’s Museum. Crossprocessing Velvia F slide film really oversaturated the red and increased the contrast. The Diana camera created a soft light leak on the top of the tail and some slight vignetting. Here’s a dandelion shot which was taken last week,,,, not really sure if I totally like it so I thought I’d put it out there to see what you think.. Personally It reminds me slightly of my Fire Fairy with it’s composition and I don’t like repeating my self,,,just not sure.. / Nikon D200 / 18-200mm / Processed in RAW

I was messing around with my camera on Mother’s Day and thought I’d try the lovely cliched coffee-mug-splash idea. Amazingly, this heart just pitched up in one of the splashes… especially wonderful since I was using a heart printed mug. I figure it was put there by God just for me, an extra Mother’s Day gift.
