A young, very photogenic hill-tribe girl in Sapa, Vietnam.
A little girl and her day-to-day chore of collecting sticks and wood. I presume to be used for fire wood. This scene was captured about 1km walk from the mountain town of Sapa in northern Vietnam.
Some pigs off to market – a common site in Northern Vietnam. The things these guys can fit on the back of a motorbike is quite staggering.

Hearing Silence / As the interphased day and night / Leaves the sky aglow with residual light, / My hungry eyes take in the feast / That tells me most, by saying least. A silent scene can stir the heart / With more power than mere words impart, / And leave you breathless, standing still- / Held captive by your own free will. The Vietnamese have an uncanny way of being able to tell when it’s about to rain and carry plastic ponchos under the seats of their bikes. As the heavens open, and you’re caught unawares, you can do nothing but stand there, soggy and marvel at them all zooming around, undeterred by the torrential downpour. Taken in Saigon, Vietnam. As featured in the group ‘Street Photography and Photojournalism’ – 10/05/09 This photograph is part of a set of 6 images taken while travelling in Vietnam. A long walk from somewhere, and a long walk to go … had enough time to set myself up for this shot, as it took ages for the only two persons on this path to get into position. Hoi An, Vietnam / FEATURED in #1 Artists of Redbubble Group 23/11/2009 / 148 Views on 24/11/2009
