Baby monsters…and REALLY BIG ones … also like to play ;) sitting on a tree and catching the clouds seems to be the most fascinating game… especially when you know that clouds taste like sugar ;) [that’s a secret!] This Tee is my submission to the Vector Goodness Lounge Monster Mascot Competition!!! Here’s the T.I.M i wanted to make! i didn’t add the chain.. tried to draw it, but it end up looking more like umm.. vines.. so no chain, sorry.. :P Zoom in to see the text on the rings.. am working on digitising another sketch now.. it’s kinda like a comic thing.. so i guess it’ll take quite awhile (havin flu).. i won’t be using my wacom till i get my hubby (pc) fixed.. this laptop can’t take too heavy duty.. This little carnivorous plant is a character in a story I made up one day. She’s was first created in Cinema4D, a 3d modelling program. / Who knew that redrawing her in illustrator would take so long!!! Her favourite food is space travellers but when they’re not available, is just as happy to munch on the flies of her home planet, Venus. She’s also starring in 2 artworks with Origami Man…

heres a detail of how the colours will look when printed when designing this character, i had to think to myself – what makes a monster? / well, to start with any self respecting monster has to have big, sharp, pointy teeth or claws… having horns is also a bonus. / a monster must look strange and unusual… having wings, tails or tentacles will add a non-human element. / slime or acid blood is a must… failing that dribble will do. / scales, wet skin or hair/fur is the norm, but a mixture of these is even better. / it must appear threatening… if said creature doesn’t appear scary, have a sound or slogan just to get the message across. / and the colour of a scary monster must be dark for it to hide in the shadows… the last one i have failed to do, instead i’ve done the reverse and made him as bright as possible… after all poison arrow frogs are highly coloured as a warning – “touch me and die. i’m poisonous, you idiot!”
