Photographic based digital montage – 2007 (no 2 from series of 3). Shot two seperate models & P/S combined them. I also draw in & enhanced part of the headpeice, the body, the dress, added a fringe to the face, hid the eyes, made the features more angular, blew up the lips, created cheekbones, reworked the branches, filtered wallpaper effects, extended the chandelier, added lacework/flower elements, desaturated the lot & added a sepia tone. Thank you to both models who wish to remain anonymous. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. Tall gums grow straight up as they look for the sun on the side of Mt Buninyong, / today they have to try extra hard to break through the clouds. Mt Buninyong is situated16 km’s from the Gold Mining Town of Ballarat,in Victoria,Australia and is an extinct volcano,self guided walks are a pleasant way to view the Mountain or drive to the top where there are toilets and picnic tables / Ghostly Apparitions /

Completed in 2004, age 17 Been awhile since I have uploaded an artwork.. I have several drawings and paintings from highschool, but I just haven’t had much time for scanning; or in this case as it is a very large painting (40” x 30”), photographing and skewing in photoshop… This is a slightly cropped version of the original, due to the limits of my camera. My original signature got cropped out so I had to insert a new one in photoshop; in the original it is not actually located there. The two subjects are posed in similar positions, each having a dark, circular central focus., Both images have lines above and surrounding the centres, which draw attention towards the centres. The vertical composition help strenghten the feeling of height given by the vertical lines. Both subjects are organic, however one, the eye, has straight lines and geometrical shapes, while the rose has curvy lines and organic shapes. In the eye, the centre is literally dark, while in the flower the darkness is created by shadows. This door detail was photographed in Avanos, a small town in the Cappadocia region of central Turkey. The bright colors and old wood of houses and doors in these small towns are often beautiful and always intriguing. The splintered wood, tooled brass lock and handle, and encroaching shadow give this piece a sense of mystery for me.

A juvenile male Elephant Seal is looking backwards at the photographer (me) Image was taken at San Semion California. This young male was a part of a group that had at least 500 Elephant Seals. The pacific coast is home for this wonderful mammals and San Semion has several locations where they are protected. This was taken away from the tourist location, and on a streach of the beach where no people can go. distance was about 5 feet away from the animal. 50% of all proceeds from the sale of this image will be donated to the Marine Conservation Organization Consider my other images of Elephant Seals /

Captured in Cave Creek, Arizona, this was at the end of a short but powerful storm. The lightning was much too close, couldn’t stand with the tripod, just ran to it between strikes. Didn’t get too many keepers that night, but was happy with this one. Wish I had a better foreground, but sometimes you have to take what you can get. / / Other lightning shots: / / / /
