  • The Green Fairy ( La Fee Verte) / Now available in Print and Poster size. The Green fairy was source of artistic inspiration and enlightenment to the likes of Picasso, Oscar Wilde, Lautrec, Crowley, Van Gogh and Poe. The effects of the Green Fairy were probably best summed up by Oscar Wilde: “The first stage is like ordinary drinking, the second when you begin to see monstrous and cruel things, but if you can persevere you will enter in upon the third stage where you see things that you want to see, wonderful curious things.” “Absinthe has a wonderful colour, green. A glass of absinthe is as poetical as anything in the world. What difference is there between a glass of absinthe and a sunset?”—Wilde / In the early 1900’s a series of Children’s books featuring the green fairy were pulished. / Also Available in Card format click card to see more details

  • My absinthe fairy. La Fee Verte. The intoxicating scent of black licorice and blue flame. / Inspired after my trip to New Orleans.

  • Absinth Verte Absinth – named after the drink Absinthe, a distilled, highly alcoholic anise-flavored spirit derived from herbs, including the flowers and leaves of the herb Artemisia absinthium. / Absinthe is typically of a natural green color but is also produced in both clear and artificially colored styles. It is often called “the Green Fairy.” / Verte is derived from the type of absinthe most commonly consumed in the 19th century and is what is generally thought of as absinthe. / It is also french for “green” / Our Absinthe here (on the left) also goes by the name “green fairy” and often artificially colours her hair, though she tends to stick with green… She is also highly spirited and enjoys many old world treasures… In this piece Absinthe is portrayed on a day out at the gallery for freaks and trippas, a place she frequents often, and is owned and managed by one of her many friends. originals drawn with biro pen on A4 paper / coloured in ps with airbrush. thankyou for taking the time to view my art and (hopefully) comment… / please have a look at my other artwork… / hope you enjoy! :) / Astyanax, Absinth and Azurite Verditer / Astyanax Arroz de Festa / Azurite Verditer /

  • last year we had a wonderful-colorful autum .. and it lasted long enough to take pictures as much as I wanted. Not that it is suppose to be unusual to have that kind of autumn here (Quebec, Canada), but…the previous year (and some others) was like if Mother Nature decided to skip that part ! lol It looks like weather became so unpredictable since a few years already. So was happy to catch such beautiful saturated colors here =D I don’t often add blur to a picture, but It was how I saw it when I opened the file the first time and had to try it. I think it finally was a good choice and I liked it enough to keep this version for the print. Tell me what you think =) / If you’d prefer to see the original (no blur added), I might upload it as well. / - / copyrighted / - / /

  • Shot in Berlin, Germany, August 2006. LG action sports games, Vert Ramp. There was a large number of talented riders at this event, this guy in particular was grabbing the gnarliest air of the afternoon. Sometimes up so high for so long it was almost like living slow motion.
