Photographic based digital montage – Feb, 2008. Created over several hrs 2 nights this week (suffering from concussion) from an accidental fall over the wk’end. Photoshop montage combining digital shots of jewels, samples of vintage wallpaper and added drawn elements. Fifty layers retouched, blended, filtered, colour & tonal curve adjusted. Considering using the design as a furniture (upholstering) velvety fabric for a small round bedroom foot stool.

Not sure if I’m finished with this one yet, I’d like to add more but I also like the simplicity and white space, would look great as a card as is. Will also be making this one available on a tee asap too. / Pen and pencil drawing. / ZOOM IN for detail.

St. Margaret’s Bay, Kent, England August 2008: Sunrise up over the English Channel on one of the most spectacular mornings i’ve witnessed at this location. The sky turned pink for just a minute before the sun rose up over the horizon.

This waterdroplet looks like a diamond or ice in the way the light is hitting it and reflecting off the tiny bubbles inside. I personally love the color of this one.
