While normally I submit different pictures to this gallery here and my galleries on deviantArt, I do not want to keep away from you the shots that are most successfull over there. And this one attracted more than a thousand views in only 16 hours! So I do hope you will like it too. / Taken again near Laage Vuursche in a lovely little beech-tree grove. As you can see the trees are still very green, but there are clear signs that autumn is on the way. It will only take about four weeks now to colour these leaves beautifully. This is a photograph taken for a poster that is part of a campaign for an organization called Noledge working to raise acceptance of cultures through traveling. The reflection in her eyes is the organizations logo. The word vision was placed on the poster together with the tag line let your adventure begin. The idea was to illustrate the experiences you get when you travel. / The other posters illustrated touch, sound and aroma. / The original photograph was take in Sudan 2004. For me this is a photograph that you can (and i know that i do) stare at for ever an always wonder what she is feeling. The eyes draw you in and you want to know what goes on inside. It is a dramatic photo with a bit of mystery which is why I love it!

My Veiled Chameleon – she’s just preparing to bite my finger, there’s nothing transcendental about it.
eirian-stock.deviantart.com / kittd-stock.deviantart.com Dedicated to Susan Boyle There was a time when men were kind, / And their voices were soft, / And their words inviting. / There was a time when love was blind, / And the world was a song, / And the song was exciting. / There was a time when it all went wrong… I dreamed a dream in time gone by, / When hope was high and life, worth living. / I dreamed that love would never die, / I dreamed that God would be forgiving. / Then I was young and unafraid, / And dreams were made and used and wasted. / There was no ransom to be paid, / No song unsung, no wine, untasted. But the tigers come at night, / With their voices soft as thunder, / As they tear your hope apart, / And they turn your dream to shame. He slept a summer by my side, / He filled my days with endless wonder… / He took my childhood in his stride, / But he was gone when autumn came! And still I dream he’ll come to me, / That we will live the years together, / But there are dreams that cannot be, / And there are storms we cannot weather! I had a dream my life would be / So different from this hell I’m living, / So different now from what it seemed… / Now life has killed the dream I dreamed…

Wasn’t sure about this one but it got rave reviews over at NAture Photographers forum so here ya go. IT may not be everyones cup of tea. A stand of tall fir trees in the Cascade Mountains near Snoqualmie Pass nearly veiled in white clouds and snow of a spring storm.
Hello bubble friends, Long time I didn’t upload a real portrait…. I took this time a couple of days ago in Eritrea in the school where we were organizing our art activities. / Some people call them the “ninjas”. Some people throw them stones while they are dressed like that… some people do throw them stones or spit on them when they uncover their faces…. In what world do we leave ? / Just leave the woman alone ! Leave the children alone ! Set them free…. Give them a voice !!! it is what Art in All of Us (www.artinallofus.org) modestly try to do !
This is the middle cascade of the magnificent National Falls, Royal National Park, NSW Australia. Taken in the late evening during that magic time when the flowing water gets a blue tint to it. / There are three tiers to the falls and each one gets longer as you go down. This one is about 30m high but the bottom one would be at least 100m. It’s really hard to get to and I’m just waiting for some torrential rain to go back and get it. It’s a fascinating trip – you have to actually walk behind the falls to get to their base. / Here’s a shot of the top cascade: / and here’s a shot of the base of the middle cascade just after dusk (when the water goes that magic blue for about 20 minutes)
