Single purple daisy on a piece of driftwood.
This image was taken on 9/11/2002. I had to go to a quiet place and there I discovered a beautiful sun setting into Lake Michigan.
A picture of two beautiful roses, with emphasis on the variegated red and yellow one. I am sure it has a proper name, but I am not well acquainted with rose varieties. However I did enjoy the time during which these two reposed in a drinking glass on my dining table. / / / / / /
Some water loving plants beside a pond in Oklahoma City’s Myriad Gardens. I liked the contrasts in these two plants growing together and the purple tones in each caught my eye. / Fellow redbubbler Jen Shepherd is pretty sure this is variegated Pickerel Rush. Thanks so much Jen, it’s great to find out the names of plants I haven’t come across before. / /
This little bird flew in and sat right in front of me posing for a photo. For better viewing See it in ” View larger”. Related work:

Actually, it’s a self portrait, and not even a “windows of the soul” variety, strangely.
Variegated Fairy-wren Malurus lamberti. This one is a male moulting into its breeding plumage evident by the coloured feathers appearing on its face. Photo taken in Myall Lakes National Park, NSW.

My mother is blessed with a green thumb, as you can see. This beautiful plant is prominently displayed in her flower garden near Atlanta, GA. Despite the severe drought and very stringent water restrictions, she somehow kept all of her flowers in “show ready” condition last summer. This photo was captured with a Canon DSLR camera and Canon EF 28-80mm f/2.8-4L zoom lens. Shot at f/6.7 @ 1/350 sec. zoomed to 58mm focal length. A Manfrotto tripod and “joy-stick” head was used. © 2009 Gene Walls All copyright and reproduction rights are retained by the artist. This isn’t my work, it is nature’s artful expression. All I had to do was focus and shoot. This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro prime lens. The shutter speed was .5 sec at f/13, no flash. The camera’s ISO was set to 400. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release. Your comments are always welcome! FEATURED IN OUTSIDERS Maybe someone can help me identify this beautiful flower that I photographed in Hawaii. I have tried to research this, but to no avail. / D90 / As is
The lovely Amethyst blooms on this plant made it a winner for me and my garden. It is a favorite perennial for me.It comes up rapidly and blooms all season long. The little bells are many and delicately shaped. As well the variegated leaves add an extra feature to make it a lovely touch and texture among the other blooms it shares space with. One of my beauties that i caught in my camera lens this day. Canon Rebel XSI
Grahame has a praying mantis and bought some locusts for it to eat. One was dead so he threw it into the garden. A few days later I was standing at the front door watching the rain when something caught my eye. It was the dead locust clinging onto a blade of my variegated grass while the rain poured down. AS IS. Image of some of the miniature Tulips (variegated) we had this spring on the Southern side of the garage. We had a lot of Tulips there after having to move them from the Western side of the front porch due to the construction of our porch and my ramp. It took a couple of years but they finally made their lovely appearance. It was well worth the wait! Medina,Ohio. Camera: Panasonic Lumix Mega O.I.S. 5X Optical Zoom DMC-LZ8
