Another old one I just scanned from my display book. Since I joined Redbubble I have very little time to spare for doing new drawings, so I am using up my old ones that no-one has seen anyway – hope you don’t mind. A cute natural Black Squirrel, contrasted nicely in three inches of snow. I am honored that this photo was accepted as the avatar of the “Squirrels” group for the last week of March, 2008. Thanks Paul and group members! This design also available as T-shirts, also titled “Feeling Sqiurrely”. All artwork is © Rhonda L. Hall, All Rights Reserved. I took this from the famous painting by William Blake of Nebuchadnezzar. In the Old testament, while boasting over his achievements, Nebuchadrezzar was humbled by God. The king lost his sanity and lived in the wild like an animal for seven years (by some considered as an attack of the madness called clinical boanthropy or alternately porphyria). After this, his sanity and position were restored. For this picture, I first drew in pencil and then did a wash or two of watercolour, before starting work on it with coloured pencils. I’d like to dedicate this piece to my late father, Elwyn Tecwyn Edwards, who made me aware of the works of William Blake. I also did a much earlier version in pen and ink if you’d like to see it.
I wasn’t happy with this, so I have altered it and I am happy now :)) Burne Jones is one of my favourite artists ever. I wouldn’t attempt to do a straight copy of his work but this is one of his paintings done in my own style. Looking up – one of my favourite things. I shot three pics with the old infrared camera and gave each a different treatment. Just for fun. And because I like the results. Variation 1 / Variation 2 / Variation 3
I’ve been thinking about doing arabized super hero style t-shirts since before doing the ’’Seen’’ Shield T . This is my version of the Wonder Woman current logo. The translation is the one they used in the old translated-to-arabic comics (which I don’t think come out anymore); its not a literal translation as its closer to Super Woman than Wonder Woman. A variation of this shirt can be found here.

Variations on a Theme – same image processed digitally in different ways. The photo itself is ‘as taken’ – I was standing under a tree, on top of a hill, it was late in the day and I was lucky to get the light and the blueness of the sky. The processing comes from different blending modes in PS.
Rollerball on copier paper. This is part of a Goddess Series
9×12 pastel on Canson paper Featured in the group “Pentacle Passions”. This was the original drawing I did of the Lady of the Lake. I later painted her in acrylics. In this one she is holding the grail and has a softer face. In the acrylic she is holding excalibur and has more angular features.

I love the music of the Renaissance, clear back in the early sixties I played soprano and sopranino recorders and shawm in a renaissance music consort when music of that period was first being appreciated here in the US. Below is some beautiful music from the period and beautiful images Renaissance Music I had to add this music and video, it is not a true renaissance music sound, but just too beautiful / not to take a see and listen. Traveling through the woods I find both beauty and its opposite – all together, all part of one process. A small deer for some reason has died and scavengers have take over in all directions at the same time the earth pulls the remains down into the ground – the striking contrast of the leaves just knocked me out - / Goin’ Back to Harlan /
