“The peacock can’t fly and can’t see with his own feathers. A single male showing-off VANITY. It is BEAUTY when these lonely feathers are used by feminine powers. She knows how to take my eye and take my body and will use it in her fabulous way. In this magic way my eye turns into hers and awakens and watches my desire. And so my body turns into hers, caressing and lifting me high in the sky.” (from a friend)
I created this image for the Challenge Cafe Competition “The Deadly Sin – Pride”. / Thank you Birgitta for guiding me to the texture website!
Water soluble pastels drawing/painting. The tags say it all peeps :) This was inspired by a girl whom took nude pictures of herself and then complained that they had more views than her other pics. She was calling men pervs and peepers for looking but not commenting. The very next day she loaded another nude of herself, Just boobs and a look on her face that resembled a deer caught in the headlights, I couldn’t believe the confusion ! I was so angry that I drew/painted this picture in five fierce hours straight. I couldn’t make sense of it, not one little bit….............................. After all these months I have finally decided to write a description but you can put it all together with what you see. PINK VIDEO
Our kitten OJ, gazing into a make-up mirror, watched over by curious cockatoo. Bird was photographed in pet store and added with Photoshop. I had to wait till OJ got totally tired before he’d sit still… in the end I had to snap my fingers to get him to open his eyes.

I created this mixed media painting while reflecting on a conditioned response to the demands of a modern woman outer appearance. / A worldly pressure to fit the mould and compete for attention and approval. / Depicted here is the incredible energy (represented by colour and movement) proving ones worth through aesthetical flesh image. Here are two women as one. Part of her gives into the world’s pressures to be typically beautiful and other side, which opposes the conditional love. The front figure gestures “ Ok is this good enough?” and the one behind rebuking the expectation with her back turned just want to be accepted for she is inside not by her appearance. * / Who are you? Are you more one than the other or a combination of the two? / Is vanity dictating to you who you want to be or should you be looking a little deeper into your inner beauty and potential as a beautiful woman? Warm red acrylic modern paintng. Female nude facing both ways
Placed in Top Ten in The Scavenger Hunt Group’s “Let’s Hunt Books” Challenge February 23, 2009. / Featured in Image Writing February 17, 2009. / Featured in Live, Love, Dream February 17, 2009. / Featured in The Woman Photographer February 17, 2009. To say that I love books and love to read is an understatement. The worlds I get to live in … the dreams I build there … the memories they revive … are gifts that reach across time from authors I’ll never know but whom I love with all my heart. This little image is an homage to those who came before us, who lived and loved and left traces of themselves between the pages of a book. Original image taken with the D40x, using the 18-135mm Nikon lens and tripod. Shutter speed 1, aperture f/18, exposure -.33, iso 400. Rosalie Dale’s Vintage Technique started the process, then several layers of texture were added, thanks to the inventory of CGTextures.com. Several different blending techniques were used.

Thought I should make this a series.
Model – Red Bubble’s very own beloved Miss T Shot on location at the soon to be defunct Bond Lounge Bar in Melbourne’s CBD, this shoot was only a success because of Teer’s tireless efforts to find me a location and organise everything on the day, being that I live in Adelaide and know F-all about Melbourne’s spots. / So all praise must go to her for being not only drop dead gorgeous, but a fabulous little organiser to boot.
