  Poem written for my dad when it was obvious we had to say goodbye for ever, my way of saying to him he had been a great dad to all of us. Has been read in church by one of my sisters. what the poem is about; / it is for us so hard to see you fight against your pain / but the though of missing you is another sad option / 7 girls and a son couldn’t have had better parents / and we are all gratefull for the gift of life. / as a family we had several experiences of inner pain / but as you told us, it still is great to be on this earth / I’m convinced our mum and brother are waiting for you at the gate / together with all the other loved ones / they will lead you to this new world / i see a picture of a sea of flowers ( my dad loved flowers) / so when the battle is over go and be with them / you will never be forgotten / because in our hearts you planted enoug seeds / so that forever in our lifes there will be flowers / and with our love we will let them awake and grow forever.
