A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.
Midnight In The Valley Here in the midnight, within the dark valley, shadows mingle with my yearning deeper, and sing I the hymns of want while the cool waters whisper over my skin. Thunder travels slowly away on the backs of the lightning. One after one nascent stars look down upon me with your eyes. Serene is the mood now from the vanishing storm-cloud, then all grows quiet while I chant your name. Shannon Donovan / May 6, 2009 / SP
On a damp and misty April morning in the beautiful Tywi Valley in South Wales, these trees appeared out of the mist. I toned the image for effect. Scanned at 4000 dpi from black and white film on a Nikon Coolscan V ED.
This plant is in flower now (mid May) in North Cornwall. It likes growing here under trees, especially conifers, though this one is in the open which is probably why it hasn’t spread as rapidly as it is supposed to. Pentax K10D.

The classic Monument Valley photograph featuring the East and West Mittens and I believe Merrick Butte. This started as a color HDR image from six separate frames. Three exposures of each half were converted to HDR images and the two resulting HDR images were stitched together into a wider panoramic view for maximum detail. That was then converted to B&W for the most impact. Photo taken in Monument Valley, Utah (Navajo Territory) This image has been featured in the American Southwest group and HDR Photography group. It also recently won 1st place in a photo contest at H&H Color Lab and 4th place out of 200 entries in the B&W Landscape Challenge on DPReview.com.
Another foggy image taken of the neighbors place…given a midnight filter effect from Nik software …

I promise this maybe the last vineyard shot for a while I only discoverd the name of this area recently while trying to find out where Aldinga meets Willunga. Whites Valley is located between Aldinga & Willunga along Biscay Rd. Because of this I may have to re-name some of my images for there correct locations. / Not only dose this area have a lot of Vines growing , there seems to be a lot more Olive trees growing in the region. Up the road from this location is the town of Willunga also known for its Almonds. This shot was taken while traveling through the Scottish Highlands, I loved the “wee bridge” and how insignificant it seems against the impressive terrain. The moody clouds also add to the scene and the feeling that this truly is a magic place.
Little spring wonders, these incredibly tiny flowers, most about the size of a hat pin’s pearl top, are growing like crazy on the dark side of our house. Shade loving plants, these really thrive and look great mixed with Hosta. They bloom in the early to mid spring creating a carpet of little lovelies!
