A collection of images from the trip of a lifetime with my good friend Marlene to the Dominican Republic, February 2009. It was an Air Canada vacation and we stayed at the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana. This resort was outstanding! The meals were delicious served in a variety of fabulous restaurants, the beach and views incredible, the ocean was a warm turquoise, and a fantastic pool stretched from one side of the resort to the other. The service was wonderful as the staff is comprised of a warm, joyful and gracious Dominican people that went out of their way to ensure our stay was everything we dreamed of! / I would not hesitate to recommend this area and resort to anyone!

Aside from Hollyroad Park none of these images are displayed in my public portfolio. There are many images I’d like to share but I don’t want to overload my public portfolio so I’m using the calendars instead So my last day of work in London was on April 17th; and then my vacation began. On the 19th I flew to Edinburgh and spent one night there. My flight was at 7 in the morning, but to ensure I made it to the airport on time I left my flat at 4 as only night buses were available and they are slower. I arrived in Edinburgh at about half past 8. It was early, and the weather was beautiful. I begin my journey at the landscape piece know as “Landform” just in front of Gallery of Modern Art. Then I walked along, stopped at another museum that had a glass piece in front of it. There I was playing with my reflection for a bit then moved on. I passed a few things along my way to the Princes Street Gardens by the rock where Edinburgh Castle was situated. I explored around for a bit. I decided to reserve my visit inside the castle for the next day before I fly back to London. I moved on exploring the city and some of the architecture along the way. The rest of the day I spent hiking around Hollyroad park and Arthur’s seat – did A LOT of walking. I spotted some rabbits (there are two in the middle of October; though not easy to see here) and then ended the day watching the sunset. It was a great day where I saw lots and used up my camera and drained two batteries :P (much of it due to taking a lot of self pics with the tripod and timer). I didn’t eat dinner until after the hike; by then it was already past 9pm ~ All images taken with an Olympus FE-340 Other travel based calendars: / Around the Globe / Hayama / Italy / Rome / London /
