Hello – we are about to make a few updates to the user agreement that I’d like to bring to your attention: 1. We’ve removed the following paragraph referring to the RedBubble Beta Phase: “Beta phase RedBubble is currently in its beta phase. This is a trial period during which we will be offering limited functionality to the RedBubble service. There may be interruptions to this service while we upgrade our website and its capabilities. We will let you know when the official website launches and this beta phase is complete.” 2. We’ve included a line detailing how people can close their account: “You may close your account at any time by logging into your account, clicking on the hyperlink titled ‘cancel your account’, which appears at the following address: http://www.redbubble.com/mybubble/account, and by clicking on the button titled ‘Yes, really cancel my account’ that appears on the subsequent web page.” 3. We’ve removed the following line from the Agency Agreement (as we’ve stopped applying rounding): “3.2 When calculating the retail price for your product we may round up to the nearest dollar. Any rounding up amount will be paid to you.” 4. We’ve changed any reference to ”$” in the User Agreement to “US$”. - Peter

Redbubble on steroids for Firefox users

There’s nifty Firefox extension called Greasemonkey that lets you customize the way a web page displays using small bits of JavaScript. Hundreds of scripts, for a wide variety of popular sites, are already available at http://userscripts.org , and now there’s one for redbubble. Based on a script for displaying large versions of thumbnails on facebook, I’ve created one that shows large image previews of art and clothing when hovering over most thumbnails and many links on redbubble.com. To give it a whirl, install Firefox (as if you haven’t already), install Greasemonkey (requires browser restart), then install my script (just click on it and Greasemonkey should pick it up) Then when you load a page, hover over a thumbnail or art/clothing link and gasp in amazement at the amount of time you’ve saved not clicking through (which you can still do of course). I got addicted to it very quickly, so much so that I immediately missed it when using another computer. This is a first release and may have a quirk or 3. Comments/feedback welcome here. Update 04JAN08: Fixed the bugs that Xavier reported, writing now works, and the hover disappears when it should. To update, install it again at the link above.

I have been working all day on trying to learn more about this programme….and have achieved some good results…BUT…when I rendered my first image, it’s been saved with a black background. For the past 6 – 8 months I have been saving them with transparent backgrounds, enabling me to layer one on top of another when I open them in PSP X. / My problem is…I can’t remember how I managed to get the transparent backgrounds. I know it wasn’t difficult…but the tutorial I got the info from is now no longer available. If anyone out there can help me I would be absolutely delighted and indebted to you….hugs, hugs and more hugs to anyone who can help me :-)

Hi, I’m wondering what programme for my camera e.g. photoshop. I’m very very new to this and I have a Pentax K100D Super and i find the programme that comes with that not very user friendly. I know loadsa people have Photosop, but it is fool-proof? Or can anyone recommend a programme that is cheap and user friendly – big ask i know!! My budget for a programme would be £50-60 (?is this reasonable or way off the mark?!) Ciaran

Hack: Move user actions further up a user's profile page
by Dave PearsonThis thread over in the forums raises an interesti…
This thread over in the forums raises an interesting point: wouldn’t it be nice if the user actions for a user’s profile (the actions for adding them to your watchlist or to send them a BubbleMail) were in pretty much the same place all the time. Currently, because they come below the user-supplied part of the profile, and because some user-supplied text can be very long, you’ve got to go hunting down the page to find them. If they always came before the user-supplied text you’d always know where to look. Inspired by this issue I’ve written a Greasemonkey script to solve the problem. So, if you use Firefox, and if you’ve got Greasemonkey installed, have a look over here.

I have just noticed that Jessops are selling the Pentax 50-200mm f4-5.6 DA ED lens for sale at the ridiculous price of £49.99 instead of the usual price of £160 elsewhere. This might be the time to give yourselves an early Xmas present.

I have been using Canon Digital 20D, (I have it on loan) I have to get a new camera, my existing model has image stabilising lens, I went to Camera House to replace the 20D and they tell me its discontinued and replaced with 30D, I was under the impression that 30D was lessser Camera? I dont want less than 8 megapixels I am spoilt from using the 20D…... / I really need some sound advice as whether this is the case and a recommendation of whether to aim higher to a 5D or go with what camera house recommended in the 30D. / Someone who has been a seasoned Canon user and has the knowledge, could you help me please. I just dont trust Camera House they have such a poor reputation here on sunshine coast. Thanks everyone
