I wanted to write something a little more on the romantic side…though I’m not an explicit person…and subtlety is my nature, so I didn’t just outright speak of love. I just hinted it in the motion of water.

  • Let us write a symphony together
    by Arletta

.. of death, of life, of morbundity, morbidity, lollipops, and kittens / Bats wings fluttering above the dew drops, non-lovered smittens / ...

(grin) Can this pass muster for M.I. A.? Let’s find out. No particular song, no, but it was inspired by thoughts as I was dancing, remembering old days in bands, listening to such as Pretty Fly For A White Guy, Boogie Wonderland, Modern Love , Whole Lotta Love, and, finally Word Up .... then I stopped listening, after the first basic few lines drifted in, and came to write instead. Good enough?

  • fluttering folly
    by Fiona Christensen

the truth, floats, down / flutters, falls, on my eyes / I see the real you, past your lies…

truth is truly amazing. it really does set you free.. i hate lies, i wish i could stay away from them but sometimes i too fall in the web of lies and deceit. there are big lies ( i avoid those cos they just bring trouble and shit) and small lies (the ones i tell occasionally) but I prefer the truth though…but its like i said, if you have perfected you poker face (like i have), you can get away with murder. Iv gotten so good at telling lies i can even get away with it from my family and closest friends… but it does take its toll, i feel it in my shoulders, my neck, in my head, my heart and on my skin… and in the lump in my throat, my eyes though, a crystal clear, unfaltering… i hate lying… Thanks to the Dykeenies for the use of some sparkly words (gracias!) :) Featured In Young Ehtusiasts
