Shot outside Cleveland, Ohio in Autumn /
Rural New York scene of our first winter camp-out with the new jeep and our first Saint Bernard. Original painted in oil, exclusively with palette knife, on canvas.
The incredible equine farms & stables of upstate New York; some of the finest horses in world come from there. On assignment last winter —while home-stewarding a much smaller family farm of “my own”, Eye saw this scene near the village of Millbrook & was struck by the arrangement of the fencing against the landscape: hence the title … Timeless.
This stands in front of the lily pond in the gardens at Vanderbilt Estate. Every time I look at her it makes me wonder what she has seen. The times that have come and gone from when she was put there in the late 19th century (or early 20th). I always wonder what it must of been like at this estate in its hay day… She knows…. She saw it all…
Lake Neahtahwanta, Fulton, New York.
Autumn sets this little hill in Sherrill, NY ablaze with color in it’s final hurrah before a long winter’s rest. The original painting has been sold and has a happy home in a beautiful New York City apartment. However, greeting cards and prints can be made and shared with friends (or kept for yourself!).
Happy Birthday a day late – lol – but I was a bit sidetracked yesterday! A special taste of an upstate NY winter day for my dear city friend, Nancy Fischer who loves the snow! And a little light verse to go with it: / Second Verse December 4, 2008 Strykersville, NY
This place is wild the sunflowers almost seem intelligent the way that they they face the sun and bow when it goes down I would love opinions on this piece I think the blur gives the scene a magical quality but I could be wrong / Taken with the nikon d-80 and the nikkor 18-135mm lens
Well I finally got to visit the famed Letchworth State Park in Central NY It is a fantastic place more to see than you have time to see it so i’ll be back but here is my take on the park in the following series / Taken with the Nikon D-90 and the 18-105 mm nikkor lens 04/09 The rainbow really makes this spot look magical /

This was taken in Sleepy Hollow Cemetary in Sleepy Hollow New York in January of this year. Just a beautiful place to visit. I added a few simple layers for some color and vignette to pull in the focus.
I combined two of my favorite photos and made this image. The sunset was spectacular that evening. This was a winter sunset in Upstate NY.
Take in Upstate New York in Winter. I added a texture to the original background then I added a self portrait and blended into the sky. The shades of blue are what I like best about this photo.
This photo was taken in Upstate NY in Jan 2009. I layered it with a photo I took of me when I was IN Florida and I was thinking about how much I missed that hot, Florida sun and combined the two images.
Taken in Upstate New York in March of 2009. This tree just seemed to catch my eye. I added the grungy texture to enhance the mood of what I felt standing out there alone with that tree.
Taken in Upstate NY January of 2009. Loved this tree! I used Topaz Labs to enhance and clean up the image.
This is a horse that I visited often while living in upstate NY in the Hudson Valley. There was a beautiful thoroughbred horse farm very near to my house and these guys were so cool to visit. I miss them… not NY…lol. I took a few different photos from my short stay in NY and blended them together to make the memory last. All images used were my own. No stock images used. [ ]
Taken in Upstate NY in January 2009. The sunlight was hitting the treetops and made the nice bright orange-red color that reflected nicely on the black ice.
I took my Winter Cabin photo and blended a self portrait of myself looking up into it. Both photos were taken in the same time period.
I love this tree photograph that I took early in this year and I decided to make another image out of it. I guess this particular image is how I felt when I was living in NY in the winter and just wanted to get air lifted out to a warmer location when I was not in a happy place in time. I almost called this photo “The Head Tree” but ended up going with Escape. Available as a T-Shirt also Thank You for your views!
I was returning from a ‘photographic hike’ in Old Chatham, NY and happened to look back. I saw this scene and liked how the hill that I just climbed blocked the rest of the view. Camera: Pentax K200D / Exposure Program: Manual / Exposure Time: 1/125 sec / F-Stop: f/5.60 / ISO Speed: 100 / No Flash
I forgot about this image…:) I found this TERRIFIC horse ranch in upstate New York January of 2009 and I just had to find a place to park and get this shot. Just looked like a dream…don’t you agree?
