  • I want to do a series of photos of the normal natural world like we don’t normally see it, presenting people in poses that look right, but aren’t quite physically possible. This is my first shot at it. This is a composition of two photographs of the same scene taken with the camera on a tripod. I took a shot of the tree alone and then a picture of my model sitting on the knot in the tree. I flipped the photo of the tree and then inserted him into the scene, which was pretty easy seeing as all I had to do was merge the knot into itself so that it was flipped and he was sitting on it upsidedown, or right side up in this case. I did some basic levels adjustments but that is about it.

  • taken on my terase, Paris, France. have you seen phenomenal movie Fanfan La Tulipe with Gina Lollobrigida not with Penelope Cruz no no no! hm? / . Legendary French star Gerard Philipe swashbuckled his way into film history as the peasant soldier Fanfan in Christian-Jaque’s devil-may-care romantic action-comedy. In eighteenth-century France, Fanfan joins King Louis XV’s army to avoid a forced marriage to a local lass. And thus begins an adventure that sees Fanfan getting himself out of close scrapes and into tight squeezes with Gina Lollobrigida’s impostor fortune teller, Adeline, on his way to fighting in the Seven Years’ War. Filled to the brim with dazzling stunts and randy innuendo, Fanfan la Tulipe, which won the best director prize at Cannes and was a smash hit upon its initial release, remains one of France’s all-time most beloved films, mine, for sure : Before they came the air was calm enough, / Coming and going, breath by breath, without any fuss. / Then the tulips filled it up like a loud noise. / Now the air snags and eddies round them the way a river / Snags and eddies round a sunken rust-red engine. / They concentrate my attention, that was happy / Playing and resting without committing itself.*

  • This Koi Fish has spotted its favourite thing – sushi. it knows that even just taking a bite may get it hooked… but it still wants some anyway. Some things dangerously irresistible! Scotty /

  • Well this is completely fucking weird and random and doesn’t make any sense. And it was taken exactly a year ago… and edited tonight. I have better photos from recent shoots to edit. But the last 24 hours I’ve been in a bizarre and insane head space.. no better way to take it out then to say I feel like this photo. It reminds me of David Lynch and drug movies (fear and loathing in las vegas). I will upload more stuff from my recent shoots. But I had to upload this. 2008 / Self Portrait, my nose is awesome. / and yes, that’s a wig on my head © Jessica Walker
