Ok, ok first of all, everyone breath. Cool. Now let’s check. Melbourne experiencing four seasons in one day? Check. Shane Warne caught out again? Check. Running my own business continuing to be challenging? Check. Darren Stones steering the good ship RB around icebergs with a confident if not somewhat alcohol induced flourish? Check. Some people on some distant journal thread arguing about freedom of speech as if RB is the most vital instrument for world peace on earth. Whilst slandering, vilifying and taunting each other with racial, overworked cliches from behind psuedo names? Check. So nothing new or unusual about today then? Un check. What the… Check this… Today in seperate orders people have bought… 1 canvas print of shoe woman plus 20 cards of shoe woman 150 cards of mother & child 25 cards of Possibility II 25 cards of the congo skipping kids & a further 26 of these 20 cards of this beauty 5 cards of these guys 5 cards of these little ones 2 cards of this chap 2 cards of this dude 2 cards of this princess 5 cards of this piece of possibility and 2 cards of this beautiful, precious boy I don’t know anything much about freedom of speech, flags, philosophy or anything like the stuff that’s been going on here this week. But I’ll tell you all ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING. These purchases will save lives. These people live on less than a dollar a day. They live in slums, gutters and sheds made of flattened alluminium cans. The love, they laugh, they dream – they dodge bullets, they run as fast as they can from rapists usually unsuccessfully, they starve and they cry. Every cent of revenue goes to them and the brave souls who live in a war zone to help them. They couldn’t give a rats about flags, and virtual slanging matches. They live on the real edge. I didn’t cry once in Africa. Right now I am sitting here drowning in tears. Maybe change is possible? Even the tiniest bit?? Thanks RB – thanks whoever. EDIT: SEEMS LIKE A GOOD TIME TO DEBUT THIS FELLA. Oh and thinking of turning some of these into Chrissy cards if anyone’s interested.

  • The Fullness Of Maia
    by S.I. Sheehan

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Drop of love, drop of light, drop of healing, three drops of blessings from the Giver of Life. On this auspicious day, may I be ever vigilant to the energies which move around and about me. Dryads, Fae, bring to my heart the Knowledge of the Mounds. Help me to better understand my place in this vast and wondrous play of which I have a part. Bathed in shadows and cleansed by the Moon, may the Keeper of Wisdom indwell my soul. As the fullness of Maia is revealed by the circle, may we all be kept safe in the holiness of Her kindness. Make sain our beings at this most beautiful of times. • Seasons
    by Karin Taylor

    US$4.70–US$125.40

/ Following are the lyrics to the song Turn, Turn, Turn This group was a huge influence on me as a little girl. I adored Judith Durham and her beautiful voice and spirit. I seemed to identify with her, and they were the first group I remember loving….other songs I loved from The Seekers which would take me into a beautiful place, “I’ll Never Find Another You”, “A World of Our Own”, “The Carnival Is Over”, “Morningtown Ride”, “Georgy Girl” ),and “Emerald City” Turn! Turn! Turn! / originally written by Pete Seeger / The Byrds (cover by The Seekers later) To everything (turn, turn, turn) / There is a season (turn, turn, turn) / And a time for every purpose, under heaven A time to be born, a time to die / A time to plant, a time to reap / A time to kill, a time to heal / A time to laugh, a time to weep To everything (turn, turn, turn) / There is a season (turn, turn, turn) / And a time for every purpose, under heaven A time to build up,a time to break down / A time to dance, a time to mourn / A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together To everything (turn, turn, turn) / There is a season (turn, turn, turn) / And a time for every purpose, under heaven A time of love, a time of hate / A time of war, a time of peace / A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing To everything (turn, turn, turn) / There is a season (turn, turn, turn) / And a time for every purpose, under heaven A time to gain, a time to lose / A time to rend, a time to sew / A time to love, a time to hate / A time for peace, I swear its not too late ‘Inspiration Series’ card by Karin Taylor “Seasons” is a mixed media production on thick water colour paper using ink pastel acrylic charcoal and texta, this portrayal is slightly different from the original piece in that I have added a blue background and highlights digitally. I was going to leave ‘Seasons’ open to your own interpretation, but painting this pic brought back memories of ‘The Seekers’ singing ‘There is a Season….turn, turn, turn…’. If you look closely, you can see the handwritten bible verse in tiny writing around the heads of the three :D Instead of leaving it open for interpretation, as I’m submitting this to The Healing Journey forum for a music/art competition, I will try to explain what the image depicts. This is my family and I am the hands, although the hands also represent God. The boat is a metaphor for our journey through life, and the waters are somewhat turbulent beneath, my family is being supported by myself at great cost sometimes to me personally and God is also supporting…if you like, imagine it is God’s hands super-imposed over my hands, so that I have strength to do what I am called to do, imparting a protective and nurturing boundary around my beautiful family…..making home a sanctuary, and a safe place, it is a labour of love and the weight of carrying and nurturing can be extremely heavy sometimes, but also very rewarding. There is my daughter, my son, and my husband in the boat…and the symbol of the greek cross on the vessel indicates that my family belong to Christ, and we will be Conquerors in this life and in the next, as we pass through all of life’s testing and difficulty, we will be made stronger and have our characters’ hewn and shaped, and wisdom will come as a result. Bonded together through adversity, trial, separation and togetherness, we will learn how to work together as a team to achieve harmony, joy and satisfaction…we will support one another when life’s journey becomes all too hard and we want to give up…then there will be one of us to support the one who is down….and this will be reciprocated later when the other is down….. instead of destroying one another, we will build each other up, and make each other stronger for the fight, for the journey….we will encourage one another all the more when we are failing and losing sight of our goals….we will not give up on one another…and even if the world is not interested in us, we will be interested in one another, and remember one another in prayer and thought and spirit and heart. We will cheer one another one to be courageous and to persevere, no matter life’s challenges. And through each of the seasons of life, birth, death, life, healing, laughing, dancing, moving, scattering, gathering, giving up, giving voice, mending, loving, hating, mourning…..we will stick together and support one another. The symbol is The Greek Cross which is complemented with the first and last letters of the Greek name for Jesus (IC), the first and last letters of the Greek word for Christ (XC) and the Greek word for Conqueror (NIKA). The short bars above the letters indicate that they are abbreviations. ‘There is a time for everything, / and a season for every activity under heaven: / a time to be born and a time to die, / a time to plant and a time to uproot, / a time to kill and a time to heal, / a time to tear down and a time to build, / a time to weep and a time to laugh, / a time to mourn and a time to dance, / a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, / a time to embrace and a time to refrain, / a time to search and a time to give up, / a time to keep and a time to throw away, / a time to tear and a time to mend, / a time to be silent and a time to speak, / a time to love and a time to hate, / a time for war and a time for peace. – Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

  • Arcylic painting using arcylic shimmers. / When i feel today i just don’t want to think about anything, and just let my hand let the paintbrush do whatever it wants to paint, i seem to end up creating floaty images like this.

  • In sickness and in health do I attend to my love of life. An ailing body will not cloud my visions nor impede me as I continue my journey. I am calmed by the Spirit of healing, kind hands that move over my being and surround me, bringing a peacefulness to this tired wanderer. A single, glistening drop of Divine Love attends my way as I move through this day. Thrice blessed, I anoint my soul with the breath of Brid. Three blessings to guide me from the wisdom of Dagda. Kind Spirits, Ever-knowing shades, in your embrace am I kept safe and free from harms way. May all within and without the circle be blessed. I am made sain in the glimmering tide of Forever. • The Frailty Of Life
    by S.I. Sheehan

    US$3.42–US$91.20

There are times in this existence when agreements shatter, or feelings are battered. Kind Mother, please send your calm assistance and loving presence when this happens in my life. Help me to better understand forgiveness, and show me how to extend my hand in friendship to those who have left the circle. As the day-star gains strength, may I ever be reminded of the frailty of life, and rejoice in the growing moments I now have. I give thanks for those who have offered their unconditional love and acceptance to me, and opened their hearths to warm me. Send comfort to all those within and without the circle. Keep my soul sain in the holy hollow of your embrace. • On Eagle's Wings
    by Bonnie Taylor Barry

    US$4.28–US$114.00

I think the photo and the lyrics from a song by Michael Joncas say it all. . . This is dedicated to everyone who is experiencing disappointments and needs a little boost for sagging spirits.

  • This profound quotation is commonly called St. Teresa’s Bookmark as it was found tucked into one of the great saint’s books. St. Teresa of Avila was a Carmelite nun who lived in Spain and was a great mystic and prolific spiritual writer. I created this image today for three people: for Barbara and Jerry, my mother’s neighbors who lost their home in a fire yesterday. All of their worldly possessions were destroyed in about thirty minutes. Barbara ran out of the house with her purse, her robe and house slippers, and the cup of coffee she was holding when smoke billowed everywhere. The other person I created this for is a friend, Brenda, who emailed me to say she was feeling low and needed a word of encouragement. I thought that these three people who are deeply troubled would be comforted by these words of enduring wisdom and truth. Maybe someone else needs to hear them, too. God help us all to remember that he alone suffices and he alone is unchanging and dependable.

  • Whilst Dreaming
    by S.I. Sheehan

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Whilst dreaming, my pillow warmed with journeys, I gaze into forever. Reality. Which one is it? That which greets me at the end of the day, or the stark nakedness of the rising sun? Dream, one, dream, all. And my pillow, still warm with my dreams, will always greet me. • And As I Learn
    by S.I. Sheehan

    US$3.71–US$98.80

And as I learn I’ll share with you The thorny rose still fresh with dew, Where faeries weave their webs of thought And sprinkle them with words they’ve caught. I’ll stand there listening to the winds And kiss the Spirits that they send. The feathery touch of aerial ones. Sweet muses of the midnight sun, Whispering words of softest wisdom, Caressing us with gentle freedom. I’ll share with you all that I learn, And then one day twill be your turn To hold the rose still fresh with dew Where faeries wait for me and you.
