This is one of four Giraffe’s at the Virginia Safari Park. There are two really large ones …a baby…and this one who is inbetween. It’s a very curious and friendly Giraffe and will even let you pet in on it’s face. The goldfinches are usually gone from southern Louisiana by this time, but for some reason I’m still seeing a few stragglers. This one is in the process of “changing clothes” from winter green to summer gold plumage. I usually don’t see the goldfinches after they’ve made this transition, but I’m happy that I can witness the fashion makeover this year.

This eagle was actually in a tree right on the Lowell/Snohomish River Rd, between Everett and Snohomish Washington. I was pretty much right under him. Notice the claws. This is the first time I have gotten a photo showing such definition of his claws and front.

I was absolutely soaked to the core taking this photo at the base of Bridal Veil Falls. The spray not only made me completely wet it also kept splattering on the lens of my camera. It truly made me feel part of the Waterfall and gave me the experience up close and personal.
