An untouched photo ,same morning as Headland without the yellow tone….a beautiful foggy sunrise …..as is ..nothing added…It was like a «mirage» / Taken at “Achigan” lake in St-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada.UNTOUCHED …Autumn scene …..... / / / / /
FOR SALE here as “wild poppies” with all proceeds going to the “wildlife-appeal” to assist wildlife affected by the australian bushfires… Wild flowers are everywhere throughout the fields and on the roadsides in Turkey this May! As you can imagine I didn’t get far on my bike… / :) A first macro on a borrowed Nikon coolpix 4800 compact and the step up in quality from my usual Fuji Finepix A500 shows! (I was never able to give it back and came to an amicable arrangement…lol…) Taken on macro setting with selftimer and using a pocket sized 4” tripod.. Straight from the camera apart from slight cropping and a great reminder of the swathes of these beautiful flowers

Out for hours on a perfect day out with my new dslr it took ages to get far as I kept stopping to try things like this…. bliss! Taken outside Peebles in the lovely scottish borders on a bright frozen frosty day – not a snowflake in sight.. its all frost left over from 24 hours of damp freezing fog… Nikon d60, Nikkor 18-200 lens, UV filter / f/3.5 / 1/500 sec / ISO-100 / focal length 18mm Tips and comments hugely appreciated as ever on this early attempt…untouched . / . / cheers / ding / :)) / http://www.redbubble.com/people/dinghysailor1/art/2153518-3-poor-lambs
An untouched close up(with exposure)of a submerged brige when a few beaver’s dams just collaps a couple of nights ago.I couldn’t drink or even used the water in my house for 2 days.We were not able to go out of our area for a day.It happenned at night and we could hear the raging fload so loud,it was amazing. The firemen were at the bridge watching when I took that close-up.This image is the result of the destroyed bridge, half of it just went along with the water,a very impressive scene to see and to hear because of the dead trees and rocs rolling over the road. The little touches of colors you see are the reflection comming from the lights of the firemen’s truck.I didn’t know if I would have enough light,in fact I didn’t have any idea about the result.I thought about using exposure for the creamy texture….I just remember that my boyfriend kept asking me,how much time you still need,5 or 10 min. and I answered 15 …. :)) He wanted to go to sleep,it was 1 o’clock in the morning. / / /
The sun slowly sinks below the yardarm…..and into a cold beer…. perfect! cheers ;)) Nikon compact coolpix 4800# / Untouched.
Wave – Telo Islands, Indonesia
Everytime I was washing the dishes in front of my window I kept looking at that fantastic scene .The snow had covered all the roof and at the same time my window ,it was completely dark ,until the snow began to melt .What a sight but I had to remove the icy snow with my hand and push inch by inch the window to open enough so I could go through the small window and take some shot .You should have seen me ,all wet and very happy of my idea. / I called it «communion» because ,at first the two icesticks were just one and melted until they got separated but it looks like they are reaching to get together again. The drop is the communion between them,a« metaphore» but for me it was magical. It’s like the time is suspended…..an untouched pic… / / /
My first close-up bird.I’m very proud of it.I think this would make a great card with those striking eyes.Untouched…as is / I realy have a passion for nature,I wish I could have shots like this one more often…
This is a B&W macro untouched of a Bird of Paradise flower ,with the sunrays going through it.
A precious find on an early morning outing in beautiful Inverie on the remote knoydart penisula on the west coast of the Scottish mainland. It’s a real wilderness area where wild flowers flourish in profusion on the lower slopes of this mountainous area without road access (We got the boat in from Mallaig). Morning dew in the sun transforms these delicate blue flowers which were growing outside a converted church and are possibly omphalodes, planted there rather than the forgetmenots I originally thought they were… ;) Cropped but otherwise untouched, and taken with my fujifilm finepix A500 on macro mode with a 4” tripod. I’m just so amazed and delighted that it’s true to what I had seen… and it’s well worth viewing larger I think too! / :)) / For more pics of this stunnnig area click this link: knoydart / Crespuscular my talented friend (check out his work too) found this so sad ballad/lament from the 70’s to sit alongside as a reminder of how priceless such mornings are…. A battered and broken typewriter lays in pieces on a floor in an abandoned mental asylum. I wonder how many of the inmates used this to write a letter home to loved ones?
Neidpath is a wonderful 13C castle on the banks of the Tweed near Peebles in the lovely scottish borders and a fascinating link here explains more of the history of this special place….) It was attacked in 1650 by Oliver Cromwell who demolished the early tower by cannon fire from the hillside across the river during a seige. / A watercolour depiction of the roundheads siege by the very talented local artist Jack Roney (1920 – 2005) is reproduced below with permission of his family (sorry about the flash on glass ) The castle has an ancient well and pit prison and is also said to be haunted by the ghost of Jean Douglas, referred to by Sir Walter Scott as the Maid of Neidpath in a heartrending poem. The story goes that Jean, youngest daughter of the Earl of March. was forbidden to marry her love who was considered below her station, and she pined while her lover was sent away. When he returned she was so wasted and changed that he didnt recognise her, causing her to die of a broken heart. :(( how sad is that…..:(( She’s said to appear in a full-length brown dress with a large white collar…. Untouched straight from the camera Nikon compact coolpix 4800 / f/4.6 / 1/244 sec / ISO-50 Thanks for looking / cheers / ding / :))) (Inside view of the “castle by candlelight*”: too RCAHMS (The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland) have listed recorded details of this site… although at the present time its no longer open to he public ;))

An ‘as is’ image (completely untouched) looking up from my compost heap (!) at a colourful spring acer last week… Nikon D60 / Nikkor VR18-200 lens / UV filter / (on aperture priority) / f/8 / 1/160sec / ISO-100 / 200mm Cheers so much for looking / :))))
The blooms on this lovely plant soak up some spring sunshine. I thinks its clivia. Remember tho this is scotland… I brought this houseplant into a (so far this year unused) ‘summerhouse’ during a sunny interval , but my model and I had to soon dash for cover to avoid frost damage…. :)) See also our turn soon.. I found it hard to choose between these 2 images so any comments and tips most welcome ..anyhow it makes a change from rotten apples – my last macro.. :)
