Shy
by Emily ButtonThis is one out of 4 drawings I have done for my year 12 art final. It is a little girl from my schools’s child care and she was mega shy. She couldn’t keep her hands away from her face and she wouldn’t smile for the camera. I thought it was soo cute! The original is a little smaller than A1 and I have drawn it on canson paper using conte. I am hopefully having an exhibition so her parents can see what I drew.

this plant with moss growing close by was on a boulder in southeast georgia. i thought it was pretty so i got a shot of it.

Acrylic on Canvas – 16” x 12” / Original is now SOLD Awwww. Poor kitty! Waking up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare can be a frightening experience…. especially when you’re alone! Sometimes all you can do is bravely seek the comfort of others! I have been working on this piece for the last few days and added the finishing touches this morning after I logged on to the Bubble and read dearest Fa’s AKA frozenfa recent journal entry. “That’s a great conversation going down there in the water!” Ophelia hooted! Her acute sense of hearing led her to a giant jar filled with colourful guppies which were busy chatting about how the changing climate had affected the water condition. However, she stood by the rim of the jar, contemplating to join in or not. For that, she had to enter into the waters to be part of the robust conversation. “I’m an Overcomer!” Ophelia reasoned hard within. “Maybe after this experience, my phobia of water would be gone forever!” She hooted in great faith! I was in Downtown San Diego and there was some graffiti on this utility box. I focused on the face that I saw….when I came across the image I did some selective color and tidbit editing to create this one. :)
