  • A Commission piece. / / . / / The Tiger and Dragon are ancient symbols of yin and yang, forces that combine to make up the universe. / . / The Dragon, a mythical animal thought to reign over the heavens, stands for yang. / . / The Tiger, the mightiest of the wild beasts, stands for yin.

  • POETRY CALLS FORTH SPRING / OIL ON STRETCHED CANVAS / $1500 US (16” X 20” ORIGINAL) / SIGNED DEDICATED PRINTS AVAILABLE There she stood high on a crest overlooking tomorrow. Her soft, melodious oratory would call forth again the annual rebirth of all she surveyed. The vigor and vitality of Her spoken word was evident as she commenced the awakening of a new Spring. This slumbering world that had been in deep repose all Winter long was eagerly awaiting Her arrival. Her commands were direct and clear to all Her citizens to arise from the cold chilling Winter’s sleep to start again this yearly ritual of new beginnings. Her words became poetry. The poetry of Nature. And Nature became the elegant robes that God would wear so that we could see His abundance and munificence. It is through the generous gifts of Mother Nature’s handiwork that we canwitness and come to know and believe in the Creator. Everywhere the imprint of a Higher Power can be seen. Nowhere is not present and our Mother loudly proclaims this fact. And so it is through the language of poets that words can describewhat cannot be described, reveal what cannot be revealed and hear what cannot be heard. Melodies of speech that are so harmonious, so beautiful, so invigorating that all that hear their tunes are transported magically to fresh new worlds. Worlds of undiscovered epiphanies waiting to be unveiled. So to all of you poets, known or unknown, published or unpublished, it falls upon you to tell us, through the power of words, the indescribable expressions that enrich our life’s. Heed the clarion call, remain resolute and determined in your craft. Just as the Muse of Poetry calls forth a new Spring, She calls out to you, the poet, to fulfill your duty and tell us your poems. visionary imagist “Joey”

  • NEW PILGRIMS / OIL ON STRETCHED CANVAS / $900 US (12” X 16” ORIGINAL) / SIGNED DEDICATED PRINTS AVAILABLE I have always wondered exactly what is over that next mountain? What new adventure is awaiting my arrival? And when can I leave? It has always been that way with me. I’m not exactly sure why but it is the lure of travel and new vistas that has always captured my heart. Age has not diminished that lure. Age has actually made the temptation greater. Time, it would appear, limits me to one life and there is so much to see and so much to do that I find myself wishing for more minutes in the hour, more days within the week, more months within the year and if at all possible more life’s to live. So I have constructed a means, a way, a ruse to cheat Time. I can travel to places far, far away visit with whomever I wish and whenever I desire. Places that no one yet has seen. I can travel far into the future or if I wish I can go back deep within the past. The remarkable thing is that how I do this is not unique. I see it done, mostly by young children, when they play. This trickery, this means by which I travel is simply my imagination and with it I can do the most wonderful of things. By allowing myself to dream I can be transported anywhere and at any time I wish. So with my brushes and my oils I have traveled deep into the future where I beheld the most wonderful of sights. There before my gaze were the “new pilgrims”. They were landing on the shores of a “new world”. Brave new adventurers, romantics, and daredevils all. Not fearing the unknown. Intrepid explorers going where no one had gone before. So what a wonderful gift the Creator has given to me. The gift of imagination. When I feel too “adult” all I need to do is spend some time with some very young explorers. Children are the greatest of explorers, as they see for the first time the wonderful gift of imagination. What a joy it is to see them fashion new, vibrant ideas with supple minds that are open to all new discoveries. They leave “no stone unturned” as they explore everything and everywhere. Their minds are like “clean slates” waiting to be filled with the abundance of Creation. visionary imagist “Joey”

  • Also known as Messier 42, the famous nebula in the constellation Orion.

  • In the eighties they were the the coolest of the cool. Littering the shelves of toy stores across the country, they were what every kid wanted and every parent was forced to buy. Now though, they are dead. Dead and angry and replaced by newer, more pose-able models. Dead and angry and wanting revenge. They may be five inches tall, but they’re five inches of blood thirsty evil and they’ll bite a big meaty hunk out of neck.

  • The moon this evening, shone through my being / withdraws my unsettled heart and danced with it, / the colors surrounded my spirit and swept me / towards the stars, embracing me with space… / The time passes with my earthly body, as minutes / yet my spirit soars for hours and my heart dances for days. / The earth draws me near, her strength pulls my spirit / and a force thrusts my heart, as my energy shines through. / TKRosevear 1992 Almost Full Moon

  • Is it flying through space or peering through a macro lens? I can’t really explain what I feel about this one. It kind of creeps me out. But I really really love it, feel a part of it. Please see my Etsy listing for this image – and purchase a pearlescent metallic print of this beautiful photograph!

  • Apophysis fractal no postwork except cropping. It’s a two for one! I couldn’t decide which song I liked best, I’ve been a huge fan of Crosby, Stills and Nash forever and also the Grateful Dead. I like each tune equally!! So…... not to decide is to decide! heh heh Here’s Crosby, Stills & Nash’s Dark Star with some very cool fractal looping video, how apropos huh?! Lyrics: / Forgive me if my fantasies might seem a little shopworn / I’m sure you’ve heard it all before I wonder what’s the right form / Love songs written for you it’s been going down for years / But to sing what’s in my heart seems more honest than the tears I am curious / Don’t want to hurry us / I’m intrigued with us / Ain’t this song a bust / I don’t care dark star I met you several years ago / The times they were so strange but I had a feeling / You looked into my eyes just once / An instant flashing by that we were stealing Another time you felt so bad / And I wasn’t any help at all as I recall / We didn’t know quite what to do so we left the wanting be / Still there for me and you Dark star I see you in the morning / Dark star a’ sleeping next to me / Dark star let the memory of the evening / Be the first thing that you think of / When you open up your smile and see me dark star It’s easy to be with you / Even with the storms that rage beneath your search for peace / We must make some time together / Take the kids and find a world that’s ours to keep Now you’ve got me dreaming girl / It’s been so long that I thought that I’d forgotten how / My heart is once again my soul / We touched we did you know we did no more teasing now / / Chorus Let the memory of the evening / Be the first thing that you think of / When you open up your smile and see me dark star And then, here’s an awesome Grateful Dead jam called Dark Star as well with an equally cool and trippy video! I love these lyrics….... Dark star crashes, pouring its light into ashes. / Reason tatters, the forces tear loose from the axis. / Searchlight casting for faults in the clouds of delusion. / Shall we go, you and I while we can / Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds? Mirror shatters in formless reflections of matter. / Glass hand dissolving to ice petal flowers revolving. / Lady in velvet recedes in the nights of good-bye. / Shall we go, you and I while we can / Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds?

  • FROM WIKIPEDIA / The Andromeda Galaxy is a spiral galaxy approximately 2.5 million light-years away4 in the constellation Andromeda. It is the nearest spiral galaxy to our own, the Milky Way. As it is visible as a faint smudge on a moonless night, it is one of the farthest objects visible to the naked eye, and can be seen even from urban areas with binoculars. It is named after the princess Andromeda in Greek mythology.

  • This one’s a bit of a diversion for me. I’m just trying to avoid finishing my children series! I eventually broke down and bought a book on photo shop techniques . I’m not sure it helped that much as this image took me 5 times longer to create! / Still, it keeps me out of trouble I guess….

  • No one alive will ever see this again! / I know that I won’t be getting much sleep in August, as my eyes will be on the skies to witness the red planet up close and personal. / Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. It is guesstimated, the next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. / Due to the way Jupiter’s gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the last 5000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again. / The encounter will culminate on August 27th, when Mars comes within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the Moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide, at a modest 75 power magnification. / Mars will look as large as the full Moon to the naked eye and will be easy to spot at the beginning of August as it rises in the east at 10pm and reaching its azimuth at 3am. By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30 am. / Truly a sight that no human being has seen in recorded history, so mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see and watch Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month… / Mars is the security department head, responding with action and self-defense, making you brave, courageous, daring and even fearless, symbolically speaking. Mars placement in your natal birth chart describes how you act on your own behalf. In the body, Mars rules the head, representing SELF; the blood, representing your expressing and receiving; and, muscles representing our ability to move in life. Mars is in charge of how you assert yourself and how you express anger, the side of you that initiates all activity. In astrology, Mars rules the signs of Aries and Scorpio, as the symbol of an aggressive man, personified as the Roman God Mars, the Greek God Ares, or the Mesopotamian God Nergal helmeted with a shield and sword or spear, perhaps mounted, sometimes with a wolf, and all associated with the energies of violence, courage, ardour, tension, fire, iron, the color red, the South direction and Tuesday. / Life on Mars? / Nasa photo of Earth and Mars (wikipedia) edited in photoshop7 with Fractilius filter (Redfield plug-in), saturation and lens flare rendering. KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE SKIES! Thanks to CJ for the reminder too ;)
