Febuary .. the second month of the year .. a beautiful mermaid swims with her friend the dolphin

The windy month of March .. an enchanting mermaid swims away from the ruins of Atlantis

April … A beautiful mermaid rests above the waves .. rising out of the ocean behind her columns of blue marble

August .. in the warm waters of the ocean the enchanting mermaid swims upwards towards the surface to greet the summer sun

October .. Queen of the dark waters, gothic mistress of the shark ..

December .. the 12th month .. a beautiful mermaid offers a treat to the mystical winged sea horse

Deep within is color and light / And life you never encounter. / Far below where you’ll never go / Are currents that surge and founder. / The sea keeps her secrets and so do I / So I smile and tell you I’ll never lie. / But we do, the surging sea / And I. Well, gosh, that’s kind of mysterious! / This image (not the poem) was inspired by Betty Mackey and Bev Langby and their DELICIOUS use of color. Seriously. Go look, if you don’t know what they create. Then come back here, OK? LOL Anyway, the poem is something else, a snippet of a thought….probably I’ll turn it into something later.I just imagined something a little mysterious in the depths of this “undersea” image. Something that might lie to survive.*
