/ another in my UNDERPASS SERIES
underpass from flinders st station to degraves st, melbourne, australia /
Adelaide, Aug 2006.
Taken in a very textured subway. The time of day allowed the end of the tunnel to be well lit up. It worked well as a black and white image.
The walkway along the Yarra underneath Prices Bridge. This is a HDR image.
Beneath a busy highway next to the Merlion Park, Singapore City. This was a long time exposure done with a Manfrotto Tripod, Canon remote shutter release and a lot of sweat (humidity in Singapore during the December Monsoon Season is disgusting). Shot at 2”, ISO 1600 @ f/5.6 (should’ve gone the full f/11 aperture, but what can you do =) / - – - / MORE WORKS FROM MY PORTFOLIO /
A scene from Atlanta’s infamous Krog Street Tunnel, near historic Cabbagetown (an old mill town in the heart of the city). This nearly century old underpass is home to evolving graffiti murals.
Some more light painting shenanigans. / Bulb mode, 2 minute exposure at f11.
Silhouette of skater in an underpass at Warners Bay.
Quick moving silhoutte crossing the underpass at the corner of Spencer and Flinders Streets, CBD, Melbourne.
Man & man made environment.
I’ve almost made a series out of this underpass in Glen Iris. Blink, We and this were all taken at an underpass, Gardner’s Creek.
The Bowen Brige reflections across the River Derwent Shot with Canon 400D, / EF 28-135mm IS USM / Edited in Adobe Lightroom
And now for something completely different….shot from a moving car… Shot from a moving car
oxford, england, 1999.
South Melbourne, Victoria.
Dark. Alone. Cold…Calm. Serene. Exciting. 8pm capture under the Mt Henry bridge – saw rats running around + strangers staring at an Asian dude with a camera and tripod. I also fell sick after this shot from the cold. Love it <3> Enjoy.

The overpass bridge used to keep trains out of the way of the cars in Melbourne. I took this around 7pm on a cold winters night. The shot was originally taken in monochrome, cropped slightly, I increased the contrast and brightness to highlight the difference between light and dark. The are so many hidden patterns and repetitious view points everywhere. The thing I have enjoyed most about photography is discovering them in places that I pass on a daily basis.
