Whilst reading a @webgrrl post , these two statements got me writing: 1. Self love is much more rewarding :) / and 2. No better Love than the Unconditional one…. Statement 1 is good and important. Self-love is self-confidence. It’s about using your talent constructively, establishing who you are through your actions, and having a direction in life. Self-love also helps you to know that everyone and everything can and will change – and knowing what you are going to do when it happens. Self-love is often all we have. Statement Two is interesting yet also true. When we place conditions on our friends and family, we constrict their self-worth, we stifle their inner-selves and we breed doubt in their minds. / (_Hmm, family might read this…_oh well.) Whereas unconditional love says we enjoy being with someone despite any foibles, habits or faults. Unconditional love tells a friend when they’ve made a big error, when their art is not, or when their under-arm deodorant isn’t working! Most importantly, having friends whose love is unconditional will mean you will be told when your path/choice in life is changing the person you are, thereby making you a different yet better (or worse) person! The family and friends we’ve all suddenly gained on RB certainly allows us to be more creative, to learn from our mistakes, and to travel the preferred journey – and get appraised for our efforts along the way. In all communities, artists are a necessity: They help foster imagination, they put pictures to the dreams of many and they encourage conversation. Can you find a museum or exhibition anywhere that has failed to gain an audience? From the pavement-chalk-artist to the island-wrappers of this world, everyone loves to view, explore and talk about art. This started as a comment on @webgrrl’s journal, but got so long

Well here it is, my dearest – publicly professed and declared. A tribute to the woman who has gladly taken into her bosum, a breathtaking affection to one who stands in awe of such a joy…Each and everyday is a mystery- a suspense story of how the events of the day shall unfold as the petals of a carnation to display a wonder and a glory thus unknown. It is my husbandly duty to nurture this love unconditional as Messiah has done for me -us. That your regard for me is undaunted by resentment, jealousy or anger; freeflowing tributaries to fill over the banks and feed harvest grain, producing hundredfold graces into the lives of others. / Thus it shall be my legacy; to have loved as ‘Noah cared for Allie’. To herald this legacy to my last breath shall be my greatest quest. Nicholas Spark’s ‘The Notebook’ and New Line Cinema Production 2004

Well I was meant to take Jordy to the Vet (who was visiting town today) but I ended up rushing him into the Vet 45mins away yesterday after a sleepless night with him on Monday. I have him home with me again, he stayed in there over night because he had eaten Monday morning and they didn’t want to put him under on the day because of that. Sunday night while I was petting him in the quiet in bed, I could hear strange noises coming from his head. At first I thought it was the sound of static, but it wasn’t making the noise when I stroked his back, so I listened closer and a huge fear struck me. It sounded as if the skin on his head was dead and was crinkling as I petted him. I panicked!!! I thought that the Operation months ago had failed and that the blood supply to his skin there had stopped and I also linked the blood from his eye to that. The vet assured me that his skin was fine. She suggested it might have been trapped air under the skin. Although she explained something to me that I didn’t understand before now properly….. Jordy isn’t cured of cancer. :( As a matter of fact it is just going to get worse for him and what I am doing is just prolonging his life (and therefore maybe also … his pain) :( The cancer he has on his eyelid is not curable … just treatable. I can keep taking him to have bits and pieces of it frozen off … but it will get worse and worse and his pain will continue to get worse also. I am not sure now if I should be continuing to keep the treatment up or not :( This visit alone cost me just under $400. It’s money I don’t have as I am still paying off his Operation, with the help and support and love of those who have contributed to the Jordy fund thus far. Sadly now I (and all of you who have followed his story) will need to figure out when the time has come to let Jordy be free. It’s not something I want to think about right now, but it is something that will happen in the next few months and this is so hard for me right now. I would like to thank you all for your compassion and love, following Jordy’s story and letting him into your hearts. I know my love for Jordy is shared by so many of you and it helps so much. I am so sorry this update isn’t as happy as I would have liked it to have been. He is still here and he is happy and comfortable. And I love him VERY much … we all do!!!

Taken from the HeraldSun web site View the Original here A HOMELESS dog has been hailed as a hero in Chile, after being filmed rescuing an injured friend from a Santiago freeway. / The video shows an injured dog lying in the middle of a freeway after being hit by a car, while a rescue dog dodges traffic to run to its aid, Fox News reports. The rescue dog then drags the severely injured canine across lanes of traffic as cars swerve around it. Click here to watch the video. (WARNING: May be disturbing for some) The translation of the voice on the video is as follows: “These images seen from the surveillance cameras show a very common situation with our overpopulated highways. It is normal for us to see dogs run over. In the video, we can see this dog fighting for his life because he was run over by the vehicle. “What is very touching is to see the very heroic actions of this other dog who is trying to pull him to the side of the highway. We are going to keep seeing things like this until we find a solution to the dogs living on the streets.”
